Christmas of 2024, trying it for the first time. Keeps getting stuck at the first loading screen.

Edit : Solved by disabling dynamic resolution and changing render method to dx12

I won't change my review because a modern game should work out of the box, and this stuff caused some pain the neck. I thought it was the servers or my isp messing with me.

Free but it's good

Incredible pixel art, good voice, mid level design, short playtime, high pricetag.

I still don't have the budget (well actually I do, I can buy like 10+ copies of it, but I'm a cheapskate) for RE4R so I went with this instead in the current 2024 spring sale.

I've played the O.G. RE 1-3 and missed playing this because I had to go to work when this game was released, plus my computer couldn't run it back then.

So after watching and drooling for years I always hear that this game is a masterpiece or still holds up to 2024 standard.

Here is a honest opinion : It is playable, with some quirks.

You need the RE4HD custom update and disable move with camera option in the custom tweak menu. Camera feels weird at first but once you get used to it, everything is ok. You will also need to set the custom FOV to 20 to 35. It is not rocket science so don't get discouraged by it. Search RE4HD, and just download the installer. Run the installer and then you are done. You then access the custom menu by pressing F1 in game.

It also helps that there isn't much achievements and the game isn't linked to residentevil.net platform (if you care about that)

You will have to tolerate some of the cheesiness (both in dialogue and story cohesiveness)

Definitely must buy on a sale, better if you haven't played or finished RE4R.

I hope I don't die or get gravely sick in the next 5-10 years so I can buy and play RE4R for 5-10 bucks.

Very Enjoyable, it hits the modernization itch and nostalgia good. Better than RE3 2019 Remake.

Not as good as RE2 2019 Remake. It feels cheap/cash grab.

Capcom milked the PS1 RE Engine dry, through spinoffs and other titles (example is re survivor, dino crisis) but some quality control is in place.

Here in RE3 2019 Remake, the story telling is not cohesive, and tons of annoying cutscenes. Also they reused Tigrex's moveset from Monster Hunter.

Game is good for a trial. Good length, lots of things to do and collect.

It's sexy, but not smutty. It's up to you what she wears, even if there are tons of risque outfits in the game.

The challenge mode and the embedded crystals in the zombies makes the game feel cheap, sort of a chinese pubg clone. I think they should do away with the crystals. Or darken the hue of the crystals.

I hope to see more, I'm excited for this game.

I've only played the free Holocure and 20 Minutes Till Dawn (both from the Vampire Survivors / Rougelite genre).

This is good stuff. The added resource/mining aspect, bugs, aliens and scifi reminds me of StarCraft. Wish he had other characters that are non-dwarves.

It's easy once you have it figured out, even if you can't shoot in your front arc while mining.

I saw this game on an Asmongold video. I'm not familiar with VTubers or Hololive.

Amazing free game. Love the pixel art and gameplay.
