DLC is fine. Council mechanics add a lot of touch to liege-vassal relations (now it really pays to have powerful vassals as councillors, as it both gives great relations boost, and gets them out of factions). New child education is OK as well, unless you really liked all those events when your seventh daughter killed the rats in kitchen.

However, there are serious problems in (free) Patch, which was required for DLC (so many players can't distinct what's part of Conclave, and what's in patch). Like Shattered Retreat or Coalition mechanics. Let's hope Paradox will fix & nerf these problems. Don't trash whole Conclave because of that!
