objectively, hong kong island is an awesome map. they did a pretty good job replicating the landmarks and the geography. I *really* wanted to like this game, but with the nonsensical physics and the questionable NPC cars and the rubberbanding rival AIs and the lackluster progression I just couldn't.

optimization could be better but still a cool proof of concept nonetheless. if you have adequate hardware i would recommend giving it a shot. remember, the cake is a lie :)

Words can't describe how great the Titanfall games are. They will always be my favorite games and I still enjoy every minute I spend playing them.

Titanfall-era Respawn is no longer here. The Titanfall 'references' in Apex are simply cash grabs and nostalgia bait. It's unacceptable they abandoned this IP and exacerbated its downfall by ignoring the the games and their community.

Highly recommend this game. Especially with quality-of-life mods such as a wider FoV and infinite sprint. Will 100% 'I should go' again.

I'll start this review by saying that I am a car enthusiast who spent a fair amount of time grinding ranked racing in FH4 with a group of friends. Most of my time in FH5 is spent racing online or grinding rivals.

Pros: handling model is great, graphics are stunning, and the map design is generally pretty good. Also Hot Wheels is pretty fun.

But besides the pros listed above, this is yet another soulless cookie-cutter open-world racer. The map looks great yet feels empty and lifeless. The 'missions' are purely a waste of time. Characters are forgettable if not annoying at times. The car list is largely unchanged from previous Forza titles; the cars themselves lack detailed modeling and animating, and blatant errors somehow make their way past QA, such as mirrored textures or leftover placeholder textures. Online racing is lackluster and the ranked mode from FH4 has been removed for no reason.

Overall, this may be a fine racing game for someone who doesn't particularly care about cars or the genre. However, it is a disappointing one for car enthusiasts and long-time Forza players with many core issues that are hard to address with their monthly updates.

a free 30-minute demo is more entertaining than a $70 AAA shooter game. what a time to be alive.
