One of the best Zombie games available. From the modding team that brought you Zombie Panic Source comes Contagion, a standalone game which involves co-op and PvP elements across several game modes.

I would play this game with friends, but complete strangers can often work well in a team too. Contagion has various game modes, "Escape" which involves a group of survivors escaping an area, such as a Police Station and City area. "Hunted" which pits human players against one-another in a world populated with zombies that just want a good meal. Finally there is "Extraction" which has a group of survivors looking for NPC's in a remote area and defend them against the zombies in the worldspace, and then lead them to safety. Each of these game modes has several difficulty levels.

Mechanics are relatively standard for an FPS, with the ability to drop ammo and switch ammo types to give to your teammates, the melee system is also well made and works well for those not looking to draw attention to their kills, I would give them an 8/10 as there can sometimes be annoying glitches or inaccurate shots. Remember, these Zombies actually pack a punch so don't get trapped and always aim for the head, a headshot is easily worth 20 chest shots.

Sounds easily gets a 10/10, each weapon sounds unique as well as the game worlds and Zombies.

Graphics are again amazing, a 9/10 for these. There is optional gibbing, which allows the player to blow chunks out of a zombie, blow their legs out from underneath them or just make a head go boom. numerous graphics settings also let you customise your game, and seem to be well optimised as well.

Overall I would give this game a 9/10 and recommend it as a must-buy to anyone who enjoys the zombie genre.
