They erected dams that blocked the flow of water, depriving downstream creatures of their lifeline. The capybaras, turtles, and even the piranhas convened an emergency council under the Great Ceiba Tree.

“Someone must do something!” croaked Elder Toad, his voice trembling. “If the water stays dammed, the jungle will perish.”

The animals murmured in despair. No one dared to challenge the otters, for they were fast, coordinated, and relentless.

When the otters returned to their hoards, they found their food contaminated, forcing them to abandon their meals in search of fresh supplies.

Meanwhile, the Weaver Birds swooped down to snatch shiny trinkets the otters had collected—items they were irrationally possessive of. With the otters distracted, Táctico and the Army Ants moved to the final phase: dismantling the dams. The ants gnawed through the reeds and vines holding the structures together, while Táctico guided the flow of water, ensuring it wouldn’t harm the downstream creatures.

By dawn, the dams were gone, the lagoon was restored, and the otters were left scrambling in disarray.


The animals of the jungle erupted in cheers as the water flowed freely once more. Elder Toad croaked in delight, the turtles bobbed in the rejuvenated streams, and even the piranhas swam in synchronized joy.
