Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is one of those rare cases were the spin-off game is actually better than the main game in my opinion. It takes much of what Far Cry 3 does, condenses it into a smaller environment, makes everything much faster and easier to get to, makes you crazy powerful from the start, injects a crapload of style and 80's/90's referential humour into it, and offers a shorter and much easier to get into experience while giving you just enough stuff to do outside of the main story to easily justify the standalone price. Everything from the visual style to the cheesy neon environment and cyber-esque enemy designs just makes the short time spent in this game a joy. Throw in an amazing 80's style new wave/techno soundtrack from the guys at "Powerglove" and you have one of the more unique looking and sounding games of the last few years.

An easy recommendation.
