Always liked to play Risk as a kid? This game might just be fore you!
This is the latest installment of the Europa Universalis series (grand strategy games in the timeperiod of 11 November 1444 to 2 January 1821) by Paradox Interactive. In this timeperiod you take control of any country on earth at the time and guide it to glory, or doom. The learning curve can be steep at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll be conquering the world!
Additionally there are plenty of mods and DLC to further increase the content of this game. Including a nice mod which allows you start the game at an earlier date, in fact before the fall of Rome!
So if you are a fan of (grand) strategy games, definitely check out a few video's of Europa Universalis IV as it's one of the best games in the genre!
