Man, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miss you.

I miss you, old friend.

Well, that about covers my report. There was a lot more than what I listed too, but I was just delivering some highlights, and really, they would have been OUR highlights given how we're basically doppelgangers in the gaming world anyway. I thought this year was going to be rough without you, especially how you left right on the crack of E3, and I even thought about just not dealing with E3, but I knew you wouldn't want that, and in the end it wasn't that bad. I had a few moments of weakness, but I got through them, maybe with your help of making this year so great? Miss you all time, and I may not be an acclaimed WIRED writer myself, but I felt like you would appreciate this.

I could go on about the new game, but there's only so much they were allowed to showcase at E3, and they made it clear there's even more to it than what I described. It's like the raw exploration of original Zelda, with the series modernization we've become used to. Even the "Old Man" is back and he has a huge role!"

This game is so different now, your weapons and shields actually break during combat, but you can take the enemy's weapon too, and rather than picking up hearts, you eat food items for energy and stamina. You'll never believe there's a jump button of all things too. he world seems so vibrant and huge, like a real landscape, filled with animals like deer and ducks. By exploring you learn the lore and history of this new world, like you would in Metroid. The map is huge, too, I wish you were here to see all of this, it's an incredible sight.

And then there was the upcoming Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I dunno where to even start...You can rock climb mountains! Venture the wilderness, start forest fires, cut trees for wood, snowboard with your shield, all kinds of stuff. And there's clothing/armor customization! Not only that, here's legitimate voice acting too, I couldn't believe it! Not for Link, but some other voice speaking to him. The Korok are back too! You know I loved my Makar back in Windwaker.
