Great old-school single player racing game. They went back to the roots and improved, modernized things while keeping the soul of the TXR. There are some issues, some things could be improved like the difficulty of opponents (which are rather easy to beat), menu navigation, sound balance... but hey, it's an early access game that some of the publishers would gladly sell as a finished game at twice the price. I hope during the early access Genki will listen to the gamers' feedback and create the best racing game of the recent years.

After playing more than 70 hours I still cannot recommend this game. I know, this sounds silly - if the game's bad why I'm still playing it? I'm just having fun cruising with friends, but that's just about it. The game is simply speaking unfinished, the design of it lacks common sense and the producers do not really understand what was appealing in the previous TDU's.

- the map is super small
- no lifestyle content
- no ways to earn money apart from races and speedtraps
- no missions such as car deliveries or hitchhikers
- cars are absurdly expensive...
- ...and the payouts from the races are really low
- no cross-play
- no cross-region; meaning a European player will not be able to connect with a friend from the US (they even won't be able to see each other's results on the leaderboards! wtf...)
- game's always online and the servers are not really stable
- AI is unbalanced...
- ...and so are the cars, AWD cars are super OP
- the graphics are uneven, and the performance is rather bad
- no possibility to sell cars
- building interiors are just... wow... I don't think the designers have ever been in a car dealership...
- you want to pause or restart the race, even if it's a time trial which has no other drivers (both AI and players)? haha, we don't do that here.

I could do this all night, but I'd rather not waste my time... you get the idea - even if the bugs would be fixed, some of the issues lay deep in the game's design. If you really feel like trying the game wait for a discount... but I don't think this game will ever be a real Test Drive Unlimited game.

Original review from 05/09: This is a joke. You had so many beta tests this year to stress the servers and refine the configuration, yet you managed to f... it up completely during this pre-release. And I've read that some journalists you sent the game to could not log in to the servers too. Just wow.

Far East Pack and Rebel Pack, two latest DLCs with bikes, are not included in this Season Pass. So... what's the point of it?

Good indie open world rpg. I really like the fighting. I recommend this given the price is lower than AAA games and it's fun.

Great fan-made remaster. They definitely captured the vibe of the original Half-Life while improving the gameplay and graphics to the modern standards pushing the Source engine to its limit.

It is a good evolution of 2018 with some very good additions such as F2 cars.
