Unquestionably one of the best games I've ever played--fantastic characterizations, gorgeous graphics, satisfying main quest storyline, compelling setting. If you have any interest in the time period of feudal Japan then it's a super immersive fictional depiction of semi-historical events with very nice details reminiscent of that era. Somehow despite being a very different style of melee combat, the flow and the dance of the open world engagements and micro encounters remind me of the Infamous series which I found just as fun and playable. I wasn't surprised to learn that Sucker Punch developed both IPs. I can't wait for the second one!

this is the sickest game I have ever played in my entire life, my brain chemistry is permanently altered and the fact that I can never relive the magic of playing it again for the first time makes everything else seem meaningless

I played an extremely sensitive empath with a flair for the dramatic and dreams of being a hobocop. I petted a trashcan that was soiled with graffiti and it increased my morale. Great game.
