At first I had mostly "meh" impression, but after some time the game finally starts to shine - when you get some levels, craft some weapons and visit some exciting places in the open world. Sadly, Biomutant does not give an exactly good first impression and it takes quite a while to present to the player the core of the game. It starts slow, with many dialogs and cringe cut scenes, and only after a 5-8 hours you can actually start digging mechanics and get to explore beautiful open world. But seems like developers are improving early game experience with patches.

The gameplay cycle of exploring -> combat -> crafting is quite satisfying. Combat has its flaws, but once you dig it, it actually is quite fun. The crafting system is very interesting and you have possibility to make any weird looking character you want with any playstyle as well as roleplaying good/bad guy thanks to dialogs and "magic" skills that depend on your decisions.

Playing for some time now I see why they actually put 60$ price point. It's good game, it has bunch of content and a lot of job put to it. I'm 15 hours in and I kinda almost forgot about main story and I just explore the world and side quests. After first walkthrough I kinda would like to play again with all knowledge and different character, and that for me says a lot about the game itself.

Unfortunately, some weird design decisions (childish story and platonic dialogs) and not the best crafted introduction is a reason many players will drop it, which is quite a shame. In any case, it's a must have 2021 game to play now, or at least take on sale later.

I just finished the main campaign for a second time (I had my first walkthrough on the Epic Store copy), now looking forward to coop with a friend, DLC and extra end-game content!

Overall, Borderlands 3 is a great game - even the story, while it has some flaws and cringe moments, it's a great adventure full of bizarre characters and some well-written side quests and storylines. Though it's mainly going to be interesting only for those who played previous games in a series, so the appearance of old characters plays on nostalgia and indeed brings some "good old Borderlands" vibes.

The gameplay itself is fantastic, with an immense amount of guns, playstyles, enemies, and crazy moments to experience. The guns are the stars of the show. There are hundreds and hundreds of them, and they are very satisfying. The only bummer is that legendary weapons (while they are cool) are dropping way more often than they should. I have 70 legendary items in my bank, while in Borderlands 2, you would have like 4-5, and each was precious.

On the other side, since most players aren't gonna see end-game content (only 50% of people finished mid-game achievements), maybe it was a good decision from devs to drop legendaries more so people can play with them.

Besides that, it's hard to find anything else to point out - the game is just the best looter shooter you can play and totally worth its full price. Can't wait to see DLC content!

UPD: DLCs are amazing and stories are better than main game. Highly recommended for every Borderlands fan!

UPD 2: Better than Wonderlands. Classes have much better skill trees and progression, weapons are more fun, world is more epic. B3 still holds the mark as best looter shooter!

If you never played it, you can skip straight to the second game.

This one is a classic, but is 2002 game after all. It has fun moments and some impressive details for that time (like realistic boobs, clothes, blood and body part flying around), but in general is old and clunky. Thanks to "remaster" it's playing nice on modern PC, can't ask for much else I guess.

P. S. If you still decide to try it, use this cheat code to make the game more fun:
JUGGYDANCESQUAD
It makes Rayne's breasts larger and jiggle more!

One of the most underrated games of its time. Great DORFic setting, stunning visuals and quite a few unique gameplay and combat mechanics.

Remember Me was released at the peak of Unreal Engine 3 generation, when studios already had great experience using the software and hardware of that time to squeeze maximum from graphics, and games were polished single player campaigns rather than live service projects or boring ass loot RPGs as we have nowadays.

No outposts to clear, no hundreds of loot to garbage through, actually unique art direction and story (the plot has your classic anti-corporation and left agenda, but the main focus is on the other things). Just Nilin, the main character, and Neo-Paris of 2084 to explore and visit.

The main gimmick of the game is memory -- a moral dilemma around how memory defines who we are. Memory is everything in the world of Remember Me, it's used as a currency, as a tool to control and change people, and even as a weapon in the hands of Nilin. Memory became digitized and it can be visible and used physically.

The gameplay can be divided into three parts. The platforming part, where we explore the levels, find hidden collectables and observe beautifully crafted locations. The combat part, where we use unique system of hand-crafting your combos from four attack types - damage, healing, cooldown reduction and chaining (which boosts previously used attack type). Simple, but refreshing and deep enough on higher level of difficulty. Also Nilin can finish off low-health enemies using memory overload, and she has multiple ultimate abilities such as big logical bomb and invisibility. Last, but not least, is memory remixing part, where we get into the memories of particular character and change them to make the person believe in something that didn't happen. This part is basically a puzzle to solve and a fun playground to play around where you can rewind back and forth the scene changing some of the elements and seeing how it impacts the future.

The game is made with love and it shows in each detail, each animation and sound effect. First and foremost, it's a great story, with well written characters and world that feels alive and breathing. The game is linear, thus every location and room is hand crafted and even generic areas look fantastic because of level design, lightning and many small but impactful things like rats running around in garbage, an android playing Erik Satie in luxury apartment, or soundtrack that changes dynamically when you land good combo during combat.

It's a perfect chill game that I just love to play every few years, it always feels fresh and fun. I wish they'd get green light on Remember Me 2 some day.

Anmeldelse fra tidlig tilgang
I bought it first second it was available in Epic Store and spent over hundred of hours on it! The game savings easily got transitioned to the Steam version, which is cool!

Now to the topic - Hades is a masterpiece.
The gameplay, the visuals, the soundtrack, the story - everything is perfectly combined into one blood pumping mixture of joy. Supergiant Games always deliver. The amount of content and replayability is huge.

During the year of early access the game had been amazingly developed and it is being filled up with features every scheduled major patch. Devs listen to the fans in the Discord server and apply tons of fixes based on feedback and discussion. It's a pleasure to see how the game changed during the year from basicly simple one level prototype (which was already very good quality) to the high standard product the very few of modern games are.

The best thing about Hades is it has that specififc Supergiant Games flavor and gameplay style. There are a lot of subsystems that allow you to tune the difficulty and gameplay to your needs. Want some challenge? Turn up the heat in the Pact of Punishment and Hades becomes one of the most hardcore games you ever played. Love specific characters a lot? Give them gifts and develop relationships with them, unlocking special interactions and gameplay feature. Want to be a melee tank who slams enemies into walls? Or maybe precise ranger with build based on distance to the enemies and critical strike? Or light speed ninja who enemies can't touch? Or drunk buddy who spreads wine and love (literally) on the enemies? Everything is possible.

Hades is one of the best games of 2019, I strongly reccomend it!

Amazing surprise from Gearbox! This is probably the best DLC for B2 (or second best after Tiny Tina DLC) despite being free. Story is great and is important for understanding Borderlands 3 transition and characters development. Levels are beautiful, missions are fun, boss fights are interesting and new weapons are really cool.

A gift from developers to Borderlands fans so September 13 didn't seem that far away <3

Diablo 3 / Grim Dawn / Torchlight 2 are better.

PoE is just not fun. There is no point in giant passive skills tree and complicated itemization when basic gameplay is utterly boring. The lvl progression doesn't feel great and the lore is too generic and badly written. I guess cool stuff is packed in the end game content but most players aren't gonna make until it.

Unexpectedly great game. I've seen screenshots long time ago and I was like 'Meh, looks like some old rust' but then I got it on sale and played 6 hours in a row in awe. By now I have a few runs on different characters throughout the years. Grim Dawn always gets some traction whenever new shiny ARPG comes around, cause very few of them if any managed to achieve similar blend of features this game provides.

Grim Dawn is a good blend of Action and RPG, as for an ARPG title goes. It's famous by its dual class system and deep, but approachable, character customization, however one of the best highlights of the game is, in fact, a campaign, story and the lore it provides.

The game immerses you into the world of old gods and humanity being on a brink of destruction, however with steampunk twists. Lore is a classic fantasy theme but blended with religious fanaticism and Victorian era vibes. Big percentage of the plot and background is provided via lore notes, and reading them is strongly recommended. Otherwise you will lose a lot of experience from the story.

The choices you make in the game directly impact NPC characters and your relationships with factions, sometimes even open or close side quest lines and secret levels.

Don't let old-school graphics scare you, Grim Dawn is crafted with love, attention to detail, and rewarding experience that honours your time spent on the game (cough POE cough). It encourages proactive gameplay -- not just zooming around maps killing monsters after 3 hours on your character (cough D4 bad cough) -- but actually exploring locations, looking for secrets, doing side quests, and playing with your character to try new things.

Grim Dawn systems are both good for casual chill play by having fun your way (respec is cheap and all class combinations work in some way or another, standard game difficulty is very forgiving), but it's also perfect for theorycrafting and creating interesting builds thanks to combination of 3 well-balanced systems -- skill trees with ~40 class combinations, itemization with impactful affix system and hundreds of unique items, and devotion points (basically another skill trees that are improving by map exploration rather than just killing monsters). Sheer amount of those 3 opens almost endless possibilities for min-maxing your character for top end-game content or creating niche but fun builds.

Unlike most of modern ARPG, Grim Dawn's long term fun is more about replaying campaign and creating new characters rather than rushing your character to max level and play "end-game". There are certainly things to do on level 100 (gigabosses to test your build on, unique quests and items that are only available late in the game, many achievements to hunt, and so on). However most fun thing is trying new classes and playstyles. Loot that drops encourages and taunts the player to solve particular item puzzle (i.e. craft build that uses that item). Because of how classes and items work (both can completely change how character is played or open surprise synergy between classes/skills), there is enough replayability for hundreds of hours.

While the game is old-ish, it constantly receives updates for bug fixing, balancing and more stuff is added like loot or passive tree constellations (which open or improve playstyles). With 2 big expansions already in place, there is yet another coming after all these years expanding the game even more!

Grim Dawn is a must have for any true ARPG lover looking for a classic old-school game to sink your time into.

This is where it all started. Borderlands as a franchise really has a love/hate relationship among players. On one side it's a unique one-of-a-kind mix of mechanics. The first Borderlands is THE game that started and defined looter-shooter as a genre. On the other side, it can be tedious at times with cringe writing, dull wastelands to traverse and plastic boring guns.

Although first Borderlands can be enjoyed even nowadays, I always recommend new players to start from Borderlands 2. You won't lose anything plot wise (because there isn't much of a plot in the first game), and gameplay wise the second game is a total improvement over all aspects of the first game. Shooting, guns, characters, story, skills - everything is basic and bland in the first Borderlands, and is great in the second (and, of course, third one).

First game is more of a demo, YOLO experiment that wasn't even that successful, but sold well enough to allow Gearbox to polish the idea and release THE Borderlands 2. First game is rough around the edges and gameplay is already pretty much outdated.

However, it _is_ good enough to be enjoyable once you get into the flow. If you really want to dive into the world of Pandora, understand all references in following games and feel the improvement moving from one game to the next, then first Borderlands can be a fine place to start. Just don't forget that this game is going to be 15 years old soon and even with remaster many parts of it ain't it anymore.

Replaying it currently after new DMC 5 and I like it much more then the new game. DmC 2013 is just more fun, has much interesting level design, doesn't have stupid 'ammo for your arm' system, has much better boss battles, has cool angel/demon weapon mechanics. Almost every aspect of the game is just so good and better then DMC 5. DMC 5 has cool cinematics and stuff, but in general it is much slower and boring compared to DmC 2013.

Still best DmC for me, I recommend it to everyone.
