One of my all time favorite games, The mechanics are so satisfying and crisp pulling combos off feels incredible.
The art style perfectly suited to the dark tone of the game. I also appreciate with endless 2d side scrollers every part feels unique to the game.

A soon to be classic Im sure!

This game is essentially Flappy Birds: Day Z edition. That is to say Unturned is highly tuned and incredibly well made for what it is but it seems like a series of button pressing that activate every addiction point in my mind. The idea of the goal being to survive is very similiar to the endless amounts of points that can be achieved in Flappy Bird, It is also similiar in the terrifyingly addictive fact that you will have to restart from ZERO again if you mess up but restarting is so instantaneous that you aren't given a clear point to stop....so you continue over and over and over.

My experience with this game has left me feeling physically ill surprisingly. To the point were I have just decided to uninstall and try to forget it ever existing so I am not compelled to chase the endless goal of survival.
It was enjoyable for the first few play sessions especially in a group setting. After several hours though my mindset devolved into a cycle of gain and revenge. Single player isn't challenging enough to provide any real enjoyement. The buildings in this game are very tedious and time consuming to create but are broken down at an alarming rate. On top of that the amount of material (wood, stone) is so high that you can easily exhaust an entire forest in order to build a measily shack....which is eaten in seconds by zombies or minutes by players. Multiplayer turns into a game of TF2 but you have to again spend 20min gathering equipment in order to die moments later. Not only is dying humiliating in that regards but to dump rubbing alcohol into the wound you are only further enhancing the player who killed you by presenting a neat pile of useful items at their feet.
Overall I have never felt this compelled to play a game that has beat me down so much and I intend to stop immedietly.
Again, this is clearly do to the fact that this game is so well made that it defeats my sense of self control.
