I really want to love this game but I cant. It has a solid foundation but desperately needs more balancing work.
The upsides:
+ Stunning visuals, gorgeously looking items, characters, enemies, bosses
+ Music, voice acting, and generally sound design are top notch
+ The interface is clean, the tutorial for how everything works is barely needed as its all fairly self-explanatory
The downsides:
- Abysmally huge map sizes. paired with how slow your character moves and casts(even after investing a lot into cast speed, move speed, using move speed boots).. And the need to explore the map fully to get the optional quests for the special unique rewards.. its very boring.
- Having barely any loot drop. In an ARPG. Designed around getting loot. What are we doing here?
- Most gameplay dumbs down to pull a pack, backpedal while using your main spell/rotation until theyre dead, repeat for the entire 30 minutes slog of a map. Theres no skill needed to fight enemies except the bosses. Just bullet sponges, especially if you have no loot to mitigate the scaling health.

Basically, i love the game's vibe, i hate its gameplay/flow as it stands. Thankfully this is still EA and a lot can/will change. I cannot recommend the game in the current state, but hopeful that it gets the balancing it deserves and becomes a worthy successor.
