Nice modern QoL changes make this a breeze to play through. A bit short and quite simple by modern standards but an enjoyable romp nonetheless.

Suikoden 1:

A solid, if a bit dated, JRPG. Excellent soundtrack. Moves at a brisk pace. All around a solid game.

Suikoden 2:

Bigger and better. So much bigger and better. A more developed story. A more developed combat system. Polished inventory system. One of the best RPGs ever.

An amazing package of two classic, amazing games. If you love RPGs they certainly deserve your time.

Weird game, just about every element has more potential but the whole package is aggressively average. Not the worst mainline Resident Evil entry but also far from the worst.

At least we get more Claire and Barry!

Great world building, solid combat mechanics. Very few powerups and it's all too easy to miss them, you must explore all nooks and crannies to get the most out of this game.

Am all-around solid metroidvania.
