Confronting is honest and creates trust; therefore, it is an act of love, When I confront, I value myself and set a boundary. I also trust and value you enough to tell you what's going on in me.
I like to teach my inner child that he has the right to set his own emotional boundaries. My emotional boundary statement is: "Emotions are not right or wrong. They simply are, What you feel about me is about your emotional history; what I feel about you is about my emotional history. I will respect and value your emotions and I ask you to do the same for me. I will not be manipulated by your anger, sadness, fear, or joy." please call me out when I might be unintentionally manipulating you with my anger, sadness, fear, or joy.
