Decent enough game but a little pricey for what it has to offer so far. Captures the movie really well and plays like a better F13. Unfortunately these scary/horror franchise type games all eventually get gobbled up by the DBD machine and I dont think this one will be any different despite the fact that it is very fun and that there was some genuine effort put into this one. Still gets a recommendation from me as my only downside is the fact that I dont think lobbys will be even filling up a year from now.

Gameplay is great and the new modes are fun. Skins are great and seems to be a decent amount of progression (Level 1-100) with skins and currency in between. Some skins are heavily priced at $20+ while others are pretty cheap or can be bought with cookies that are earned from playing. If you plan on playing online and rarely buying skins there really is no downsides to the game. If you played the tests 3 years ago you also get an exclusive pigeon skin which is hilarious looking.

GOTY

Drums Rock is a really fun game with some amazing visuals. The sticks/hands/drum skins so far look great and feel rewarding to unlock as you collect cash for completing songs. The song list is limited so far but has some great original tracks as well as the classics. I had completely forgot the game had boss battles so when that giant demon rose up out of lava in my face hurling fireballs at me I was in awe . My only disappointment at the moment is the new custom song feature. The only reason I didn't purchase this sooner was because of the game lacking custom songs so when I saw it added I had to pick it up immediately and wanted to get straight into making custom songs myself. The current process for making custom songs is done through a google excel sheet and ended up being much more complicated than what I had imagined. There will be plenty of people who can make songs using this method but for the average person I think it may be too complicated as opposed to a level editor. This is genuinely my only problem with Drums Rock at the moment and I really hope a new method is introduced whether through the official team or some brave soul in the community.

Good again

Haven't even played all the maps yet and can already say this should go in the "must have" list of VR games. Feels perfect, looks good, fun with friends and cheap.

Worst FIFA to date

The good

- Although specialists are not very well received and do make it feel like a different game, they do make some interesting plays and can be very satisfying when played correctly
- Very clearly feels like a good foundation for a game that can be great but just isnt there yet
- Visually pleasing in some maps (not you Kaleidoscope)
- Decent range of specialist selection and skins so there are no longer 100 Jake Gyllenhaals running rampant and this should only improve with the release of more specialists and skins (and hopefully not overly fancy skins)
- Discarded, Manifest and Orbital are probably the best maps for the most action


The bad

- 500 steps backwards from the previous games
- Missing tons of key features that are standard in not only Battlefield, but FPS games in general
- Tons of server lag throughout the day
- Horrible weapon bloom on all guns excluding the PP-29 which hits harder than most ARs and has better range as a sub machine gun..
- Tiny weapon pool with only 3 worth while weapons
- Duplicate attachments with no real stat changes, only cosmetic changes
- Awful hitreg depending on weapon
- I have 40 hours played as of this review and have died to a single jet (they are useless)
- Hovercrafts being absolute tanks
- Awful map design, too much running across open areas
- Breakthrough objectives are near impossible for attacking teams 80% of the time due to bad maps
- Teammates appearing as enemies
- Infinite downed state (cant be revived, must quit the game and be put into a new lobby)
- AWFUL optimization for a franchise known for its great optimization (55-110fps on a RTX 3080+5900x) depending on area
- Little to no levoloution
This list can go on and on for much longer..
