It took me 5 years and 30 hours to finally finish this game & I'm glad I did.

I'll keep this short, technically the 3rd person action-adventure genre has evolved to where some of the gameplay mechanics do show their age, but this was still a blast to play and it's the only game that really captures the feel of being a LAPD detective.

Even in 2019 the 3 pronged single player campaign still feels innovative and fresh, which even in itself is impressive when you consider that GTA V was originally released over 5 years ago.

While minor complaints can be made about the cash grab mechanics present in GTA Online, I feel it's important to be transparent about how easily these monetary mechanics can be avoided, and stress that this is not a pay to win system as PVP isn't really a core mechanic of GTA V.

I personally have almost 1,000 hours in GTA Online and have never felt the need to purchase Shark Cards. GTA Online is an unique Second Life like experience in that you're spending in game currency to purchase items such as outfits, mansions, super cars and weaponized vehicles all while establishing and building upon your criminal enterprise!

All DLC releases are free so the community is never fragmented, all the toys that are released can be obtained by playing in game content and if you for whatever reason just want to buy things outright I think it's cool that option exists as this is what allows Rockstar to release these DLC drops for free.

This is a great game and you are missing out if you don't own it.
