This is a brilliant teaser and I would love to see something like that for other games as well. If the development continues and THQ doesn't insist on calling it Gothic, then this might become a decent RPG. If it is to be a Gothic reboot, then there is quite a bit of work waiting for the developers. Probably much more than can be expressed in steam reviews, so a feedback system similar to the one used during the development of Anno 1800 might be a good idea.

The following points are assuming that this game wants to become a Gothic(1&2)-like experience:
World design: The areas that have been shown so far are stunning with great attention to detail. There is really no need to have the character comment on everything.
Combat: I really like the basic concept of the new combat system. It is definitively an improvement from the combat system of the first two Gothics, but it still needs quite a bit of work. Combat against more than one enemy ends up being quite chaotic and disappointing.
Quests: It is amazing to NOT have a minimap and questmarkers. Having to listen to NPCs about what you have to do has been lost in newer RPGs.
Atmosphere: So far, it doesn't catch the 'nobody gives a sh*t about you, the world would be alright if you didn't exist' feeling of the old Gothic games. Diego basically explains the basics of Khorinis right at the beginning, but it might be more interesting to find all that out yourself while playing the game.
Graphics: this is a teaser and this is probably not the place to complain about bugs/graphics, but the blur effects are so over the top that there needs to be an option to toggle them off.

Overall, I did enjoy playing the teaser and I want to continue the story, but there is definitively a lot of work to be done to make it great.

tldr: fun teaser, worth a try, combat system needs work, does not catch the atmosphere of the old Gothics, but might become a good RPG
