Decent value in my opinion especially now it is discounted in the summer sale. You can tell there is some imagination put into the vehicles...think Robot Wars meets JCB and you get the idea.

There is a lot to be said for a game that you can just jump into for half an hour after a day at work and destroy stuff at will. And then when you are feeling just a tiny bit guilty, you can load WWII Rebuilder and feel like you have repented.

Enjoying it a lot so far, there are not many good arcade racers out there now and this is a good one. I like the aggressive AI and the general feel of the game gives me nostalgic flashbacks to the early Micropose Grand Prix series, which is no bad thing. I'm only two hours in and although I'm enjoying the game, a full price of £24.99 I do wonder if it is priced about £5 too high. I bought it on offer at £14.99 and at that money it is definitely fair.

Improvements on my wish list are, in the following order: 1) Online multiplayer 2) Bigger grid sizes in a race/bigger circuits to accommodate them. 3) More intelligent/gambles from AI on strategy. 4) The ability to change the names of teams and drivers

For me, this is the best ever Forza Horizon and in terms of the entire Forza catalogue, I put this and Forza Motorsport 4 in their own special category of greatness. There is a good reason that Horizon 4 is still going for quite strong money even now. Bluntly, playing this 137 hours later, I have no appetite yet for FH5 and think it will be a long time until I do.

FH4 has a fantastic line up of cars, amazing variety of roads and challenges and the multiplayer servers are still very active as a result of a great product. Yes it's not the cheapest racing game out there, but it is packed with content and almost infinite playability.

Even just taking your favourite car for a "Sunday drive" in this game is a pleasure.

Such as the blueprint feature to let you create your own routes and from there, your own events with so many different cars and classes to choose from. Don't like Horizon's own car classes? No problem. You can make your own.

I recommend saving up just a little bit more and buying the Ultimate Edition. The DLCs are generally quite good value compared to other racing titles.

I'm hoping this isn't peak Forza Horizon as FH6 is in development now, but FH4 will be very hard to beat. My fingers are crossed for Japan to be the final destination, packed with quirky JDM cars and unusual things that Japanese car culture is known and loved for.

DON'T BOTHER if you want to play this online.

The servers are full of hackers, with no proper means of reporting them and EA have been aware of this for a long time. A fun game at its best in the right server (few and far between), a frustrating experience on multiplayer. Most of my hours logged in the campaign mode.

Even with about 90% off right now, there are several other titles that take hacking and server security much more seriously and offer fun racing as well.

That the game should be in this state after charging £25 for what is essentially just a touch up on graphics, after robbing others of their ability to play their original title, and to then not take customer complaints seriously even a couple of years later, is a sign of where you rank in EA's priorities.

Give your money to a company that gives a **** about yours.

I really like the plausibility of the scenarios in the campaigns but they just seem too difficult at times. In the Taiwan scenario it seems impossible for somebody even who has read the manual a lot and practiced. Maybe I'm just not good enough at it. Cautious thumbs up, if you are good at keyboard based strategy games and are a history/Cold War buff, I think you will enjoy this game.

I agree with much of the positive things that people have written about this game. I have 590 hours on record playing it, but of late the developments moving towards pay to win and the micro transactions rabbit hole are seriously undermining my previous enjoyment of the game. Some of the latest card additions appear to be unbalanced by design to push people into paying for extra diamonds in order to get any kind of competitive deck. Used to be a great game, and can still be a great game again if the current direction is changed.

Despite deciding to opt for a refund, I'm going to give this game a thumbs up. It has clearly been a labour of love and is a very complex game. I recommend reading the manual and the encylopedia section carefully. Then read them again. Then try your first game against the computer.

My only bugbear with the game is the categorisation within the Steam store. This feels closer to an RTS than a strategy sim in my opinion and given how bad I am at RTS games I would not have purchased it if described as such. That's not a criticism against the developers, just helpful information for those trying to decide if to purchase the game.

Bottom line is that if you enjoy either of RTS, strategy sims and enjoy modern history, in particular the Cold War, give this game a try.

I love this game. From the sheer number of variables in the action cards that mean no two games are the same, to the historical speeches in the background as you play. Clearly this game was made by people who love history and geopolitics, for players who love history and geopolitics.

I recommend consulting an online guide/tips at first or play offline for at least 3 games before going online against somebody more experienced. This game has some of the best AI I have ever encountered. From my experience online, the AI behaves like an experienced player but will very occasionally make a mistake. This means you will get beat in your offline games the first several times, but it also means you will learn more quickly.

I have never learned to play chess and with this game in my library it looks like I won't be learning for some time...

Quite simply one of the best racing games I have ever played. The unofficial driver teams and titles do not matter because the gameplay is so good. Every element of running a team is here, from the hiring of drivers and the team, to running and upgrading the cars and the HQ and most of all, race strategy.

I recommend consulting an online guide or tips before playing the career mode. My biggest tip is never EVER base your target for the season on testing. That's an easy way to "fail" the season and be fired as a manager. I start low and work my way up slowly. So in season 1, I take the "worst" finishing position. Then if for example, I finish the season 6th, I will select 7th or 8th as my target for year 2 in case I have a bad year.

Second tip is to invest in scouts and weather early on. Scouts will find you the best staff and drivers that have the most potential to grow, so that you can get them cheap and a few years later you can have a five star driver or designer. Weather can make or break your race, allowing even a small team with a midfield car to win if you time the strategy just right, even on normal difficulty.

Finally last tip, on difficulty: This is a hard enough game on normal difficulty until you have a top HQ and top everything. Just because you are a race fan and like racing does not make you a good manager (At first). Start on normal difficulty for a challenge and you can adjust it race by race if you find things too hard or too easy.
