Playing this game for a few years now, seen people come and go.
New Player Experience is pretty harsh, the skill curb face stomps even shooter veterans.
The multible times reworked tutorial does not prepare new players for the chaos that they're about to get in.
For people trying this game seriously i recommend to watch gameplay of others beforehan to get a feeling what to do and where to be.
Playing this game alone, especially when learning it, is a big NoNo, look for others to play with. Someone that knows this game can teach others far better than any tutorial would.

Keep in mind, in this game you will die, alot.


Update 2024:

After changes on the corperate level they seem to be pumping out updates and changes.
Some of the stuff seem like assets they had laying around, recycling scrapped ideas etc.

After they failed with a balance patch for spawn vehicles they're now trying to include "fishing" into an FPS game that lives by the rule of "you stand still you die", we will see how that goes.

Based on the amount of new available cosmetic items and incentives for the membership (monthly subscribtion) it feels more like a last minute sellout than an intended longterm investment.

They recently merged the last two european servers into one, the announcement was made less than 48 hours beforehand. It happened a few days before a new month started, which leads to suspicion that they wanted to cut costs in the next month by reducing rented server performance.

If anyone related to QA ever reads this, please think about how your changes and announcments look for longterm players that are in their 30s-50s, don't do this misleading stuff or just be honest about it. We the players are playing the game longer than most of the employees that work for the company, we seen its history and we are not surprised.
Part of your missing community communication would be to use semi public channels for "veterans" like the PS2 Reddit, PS2 or Jaeger Events Discord. Involve US at least so that we can issue concerns that you may overlook stuff. Take your Sundy Rollback as example.


All in All, i still recommend this game, it's unique there is no other game like this. Yes it is hard to get into and yes it's in decline for the longest time, but it is FUN.
