A well made game , that is definitely worth playing.

For me, the best thing about this game is that it limits each run to 30 min. It's just how to maximize the outcome with different combination of weapons. 2nd best thing is easy control - you move your character and that's it. The weapons fire by themselves - you learn to move to maximize the damage depending on the weapons you have.

With that said, this is a beta not even version 1. Yet, it's quite enjoyable without thinking too much when you have 30 mins to kill. I have a long list of backlogged games on Steam that I haven't played - because I am thinking that I don't have the time to learn all new things while working and taking care of other life priorities. i like it.. Well worth $3 I spent. Thank you for making a great game. Works great on Steam Deck, too.

I just cannot start the game. On my Windows 7 Dell laptop w/Sandy Bridge, the games starts, and when it looks like it's going to run.. it closes on its own. Then, I get "Failed to start game app already running" error message. On Windows XP desktop, I just get "Failed to start game. unknown error".

I googled and tried many different remedies, and none of them are working.

Verifying integrity,
installing \Steam\steamapps\common\Pacific Skies\_CommonRedist\OpenAL or vcredist,
unchecking Enable steam community in-game option, etc.

Same thing goes for both Ace Patrol and Ace Patrol Pacific Skies.

There are many open discussions on steam communities for the same error. And 2K games seem to be aware of the error since September, but failed to provide the remedy. Although I like Borderlands, this is not very good customer service.

Update: I have another desktop with i7 and discrete AMD graphics card. On this PC, both games ran without any problems. I am still disappointed by the fact it doesn't run on my laptop w/Intel graphics. This is a strategy game with less than 150MB in size from a reputable developer / publisher. I didn't have this kind of problem from many indie titles I own.

Despite of the low Metacritic score, I enjoyed playing this game. If you are looking for a competitive FPS, this is not it. Try CS. If you are looking build serious projects, this is not it. You don't have time to build great things.

However, if you have some time to kill and looking for some casual fun, doing stupid things, this is a good game to play. I recommend Zombie mode, especially.

This game runs fine on my old PC, and that's why I started playing it. Then, unlike other less demanding games, this game is quite fun to play and can be addictive for awhile.

That's because you are watching yourself slowly going insane, starve to death, or die from loosing health, and it's difficult to deal with the problems right away. It requires planning, tactics, and right executions to survive against lack of resources (food / rocks), cold weather, and sudden dangers from monsters.

The game gets updated quite regularly, and it becomes slightly harder - because of introduction to new element : rainy day, new monster, etc. If you have one in your inventory, I recommend adding it to your library and start playing it, before it gets too difficult.

This game is easy to play, simple, yet fun. Highly recommended for those who are looking for casual game to kill some time.

A very good 3rd person slash action game. Carefully designed mouse/keyboard control suits the PC playing very effective and easy. It crashes often on nVidia graphics card. I used my ATI card for this game and didn't have any problems. Some achievements do not get registered even if you complete the task.
