It's a classic gem, and this official HD remaster works well on the latest Windows OS, plus on modern HW as well. So. if you like Fantasy & strategy, give it a try. Since it's turn-based, this is one of the most relaxing game also thanks to the brilliant OST by the talented and well skilled genius composer, Paul Romero, while also the player feel rewarded once successfully build a vast army while level up some great heroes and overcome on every opponents.

Some watch nostalgic films during the times of winter holidays, I like to play time to time this good old gem during the winters.

Apart from The Witcher 3's DLCs, this is what I can call also: PERFECTION!

As usually in this types of fast paced, PvP with Co-op gameplay titles 1 of the main key for the real fun to have a solid, fun team as well to play together. That's being said, the game still can be fun with random players. Obviously, some hero's abilities and gameplay mechanism will be more suitable for one player than for the other but I think everyone can find some favourites. Character designs, animations and effects are absolutely stunning, all characters are true to the original MARVEL Comics look, which is really great. Not gonna be my favourite game as this isn't really my type of game but I guess time to time I will revisit to play a few rounds. The stories, lore they added to the teams and superheroes are great too.
Had no technical issues, playing with i7-10700K, 32 GB RAM, SSD, 4070 with latest driver, plus on the 2 EU servers from England, UK.

English: Still the best Dragon Age game until today and probably forever! :)
Best OST, best story (stories, actually), best characters/companions, best visual design, best gameplay design including the epic tactical battles. :)

Anyway, I highly recommend to use mods to upgrade the little bit of outdated graphics.
Modders use tons of own textures, plus textures from DA: Inqusition and The Witcher 3 for example to upgrade, enhance the visual fidelity of this great old, Dark-Fantasy Action-RPG, made in DirectX 9 and released originally in 2009. :) With mods installed, you can get also cut-contents back and various tweaks and fixes in dialogues, nuff said. :)

Hungarian: Ismét éppen újrakezdtem a Dragon Age: Origins-t, hozzácsapva pár cut-content-et is, amik utólag lettek rekonstruálva modderek által, rengeteg dialógus is... Van ami csak glitch/bug miatt nem volt jelen a párbeszédeknél mint lehetőség, van ami meg ki volt vágva fejlesztési idő hiánya miatt, modderek meg szépen helyre tettek mindet. Még teljes extra cinematic jelentek is vannak olykor. Plusz grafika is feltupírozva modokkal nagyon komoly, igen korrekt szintre emeli a játékot ahhoz képest, hogy DirectX 9-es játékról van most itt szó ugye. Modderek pl. átvettek textúrákat az Origins-hez az Inqusition-ből, de pl. a Witcher 3-ból is hozzá... Szóval modokat Nexusról ajánlom hozzá mindenképpen! :) Ezenfelül máig ez a legütősebb Dragon Age játék, sztori(k)ban, karakterekben, meg mindenben. :)

"Developer is another one who put this game out, now posts updates saying they're releasing the next whatever...but its on their site or patreon. BS tactics and never giving updates on steam release.

Steam needs to crack down on people releasing here, then moving everything to Patreon."

Thanks for whoever wrote this down before me here on Steam, so I just had to copy, since I have exactly the same experience and opinion about this title and the dev team behind this title!
Ofc., I hope the devs with some actual development on this title here on Steam will change my mind at some point in the future, prove me wrong, so I can recommend this title in the future. Nuff said. ;)

It's a AVN worth to mention and thumbs up, even if it's still an ONGOING title. Many aspects of the game really high quality, like the visuals (Some shorter, and a few bit longer 3D cinematics, and excellent 3D renders) or the brilliant and catchy soundtracks too for example. Apart from the awesome visuals and music, the writing is really well made and that's my fav. part of the game since I like to read stories. There are a few silly part tho in the story I can't mention here now without spoiling things but that's just not how would work in real life at all while the game supposed to be realistic... Anyway, the reason of that a bit silly part in the writing is I guess to make sure the plot will boil down a bit later and on full heat... Apart from that, the story has many lively, well written characters.... I just hope within 1-2 years we can have a full story/game. If you like well written stories in VN genre where the story is revolving around students, you probably like this too. In overall, all in all the quality of this game on the same high level as Being a ♥♥♥, or Leap of Faith for example. From Fantasy VN I can recommend also Void's Calling 1-2+DLC, Love of Magic Book 1-2-3 (Yep, a trilogy.), and for example a shorter but FREE title: After the Inferno.

EPIC! Not sure about the many negative reviews, tho. I almost did not buy this gem because of that. Oo :D

Game looks decent, and genuinely fun to play and spread democracy in the Starfield... :)))

EDIT: The current state of the game is less bad then was before, which means: less sever server issues, and less bugs overall.

Still, even if you have a cool gaming rig I recommend you to set the FPS to fix 60 in DRIVER, + select in the game the NATIVE option instead of supersampling, so no upscaling but just go with the normal resolution what your screen can provide originally. Your rig will be glad for these settings for this game. Everything else can go maxed out in graphics if you like me have a 4070 card at least and a decent CPU.

With Episode 2 + the DLC (Last stand) we get proper ending(s), and I have to say, I seen many improvements since I played the 1st episode. More variety of foes, more characters, more choices, improved battle system, better inventory, story in overall still great, captivating, obviously want to know how all will ends after the choices you made... Also much less grindy, overall huge improvement compared to Ep.1! :) This title by the way probably the best right now in Dark-Fantasy AVN genre and style. The multiple endings of this game are really great, so ofc. worth to get with the Last stand DLC. :)

About why less grindy: If you played the 1st episode at the end you can get away with huge amount of gold, so basically if you want, you can start Episode 2 as a rich hunter... Also the battle system is more interesting but fights can be put into automatic to save time, which makes sense when the opponent(s) are obviously much weaker. I did that in Heroes of Might and Magic games many times too. :) At the beginning of Episode 2 you also can select the difficulty of the game, AND also you can change the speed of the quick time events (QTE) to make them no challenge at all if you don't like them. ;)


PS: I hope this title can receive now many nice feedbacks on Steam, so the dev team behind this game will manage to make a few more updates, so a few more ladies can have a proper endings as well and not only the ones, we could spent the most times.

I can also recommend to give it a try with Love of Magic Book 1-2-3 if you loved this dark-fantasy AVN!^ Not exactly the same game/AVN at all but also have good writings, so I think worth a shot if you like AVN with Dark-Fantasy stories.
