Overall, a good implementation of the card game. The rules are easy to find if you don't understand certain cards, and there's almost enough information on the screen, once you can read it.
It seems like there's one expansion unlocked to play around with, in addition to the base. As others have mentioned, getting all the DLC cards is expensive.
The reason I quit playing after 3 games, is that the Hard AI takes 6-10 seconds PER CARD during its turn.
If there's action chaining in play, that's a lot of time to stare at nothing happening.
If I find out that one player can "own" the cards and host a multiplayer game so I can play with my friends without all of us dropping another $100 on Dominion, I'll play that way instead. Or if they update the Hard AI to play quickly, that'd be great.
Edit1a: Hosted games are a thing.
Edit1b: There's an Android app that uses a connected account, so you can buy the expansions once and play on either platform.
Edit1c: After reading in the forums, the Hard AI does a lot of thinking and it seems just takes a long time to think. The time is hardware dependent, and on my older PC it takes 10 seconds, but is much less noticeable on my moderate smartphone. So I've changed my recommendation. But it still shouldn't need a high-end machine to play a card game

So, three hours in is not a lot, but it seems to be RNG and grinding. There's no way to plan a deck build in advance, and even trying to repeat a track comes up with different monsters and different loot. Not really fun.
Plus, there's no real end to the game, just the next level, so there's no natural place to stop and take a break. It's designed to be addictive, but it's just not that fun.

A few more hours in. Still a frustrating luck grind. There's still no way to plan ahead

Almost a good implementation.
I've played the board game many times and enjoy it. But there's a lot to look at if you want to make good decisions. The digital version does not make it easy to see all the data at once.

There are some readability issues with the UI, which is pretty non-intuitive. The forums are full of bug reports and UI problems.

If you click around enough on things you can find all the information you're used to seeing on thetabletop version, but it's not clear just by looking that's what you need to do. I'd really like a way to be able to see more than one content on the screen at time - like cards to select from AND cards in hand AND cards already played. But you can only focus on one set of content which is changed by clicking anywhere (there's no X to leave the focus) and selecting the other content.

I never even finished a game. Refund requested.

This is about the only game I play anymore, but it has it's drawbacks.

It's a slow, slow game with a steep learning curve and death. Lots of dying. A survival game with no magnificent bases to build, no PVP, nothing but cold and wolves. And bears.

The "sandbox" game allows the player to explore preconstructed maps at a variety of difficulty levels from a 'pleasant stroll in the snowy wilderness' to 'trying to die more slowly this time.' There are a few craftable items and pre-existing shelters to choose from, allowing a wide range of roleplay and survival style: hunter/gatherer, hoarder, explorer, nomad, careful, reckless etc.

The "Wintermute" story mode is a waste of time. Early adopters waited a long time for a flawed release that still seems rushed. I suggest a newcomer plays the opening scene to learn a few mechanics of the game, but once you crawl out of the crash site quit and start a sandbox adventure.

Specifically: the story mode has no selectable difficulty level, and the main point seems to be to go do things for strangers on the hope they have information you might need. Fetch and find quests. Full disclosure, I haven't played more than 5 minutes of the second 'episode.' The first was too painful and the second showed no promise of being better. Forum commenters suggest that the further episodes are buggy and unfulfilling. I'll take their word for it, I just didn't have any fun in story mode.

Much more fun trying not to die in the snow. Again.
