David Michael Starsky (Paul Michael Glaser) was a streetwise detective and U.S. Army veteran with intense, sometimes childlike moods.

The vehicle of choice was Starsky's two-door Ford Gran Torino, which was red with a large white vector stripe. The Torino was nicknamed the "Striped Tomato" by Hutch.

Hutch's automobile was a battered tan 1973 Ford Galaxie 500, which occasionally appeared when the duo needed separate vehicles or for undercover work.

1) Never stick your ♥♥♥♥ in crazy,
2) Thank you for introducing me to Exile On Main Street all those years ago... it changed the way i lived my life.
