This game is worth paying for, but it is free. The atmosphere and sound design are incredible. This game is actually scary and the themes are unnerving. The combat was mostly enjoyable, it was nice that the guns actually felt meaningful to have. Only thing I could do without was some of the first-person platforming sections. This was honestly one of the best survival horror games I have played, and it cost me nothing but my time.

This is DOOM. The action is unparallelled and in my opinion, puts almost all other fps games to shame. The multiplayer is kinda lackluster unfortunately. I wouldn't recommend you buy the game purely for multiplayer, but the single player campaign is phenomenal. A definite buy for any fan of classic fps games.

I played this game a lot before it came to steam and before you play there are a few things that you should know.

1. This game has one of the most engaging, interactive and most importantly entertaining combat systems I have ever played.
2. The story line itself isn't anything earth shattering but will be enough to give you a sense of purpose as you grind through the leveling.
3. IT IS NOT PAY TO WIN YET IT IS FREE. The market is for mostly cosmetics.
4. Pvp is fun and easy to get into, yet has a really high skillcap for those looking to challenge themselves.
5. Dungeons are really fun and don't often feel repetitive given the quite frequent changes to scenery.
6. The graphics are fantastic, especially for a free mmo.
7. En Masse is constantly adding new things to the game with loads of free content.

The only issue I've ever felt throughout my thousands of hours playing, is that there is little diversity amonst races besides animations and cosmetics and sometimes you'll really feel a lack of depth in the story/lore.

The Game can get kinda grindy but that's to be expected given the genre, plus I've done grinding on games that were a lot less fun to play than this is
