Carrier command 2 is likely the most engaging game i have found so far. It involves elements of resource management, flight sim, and real time strategy.
The coop is the most fun stuff you can ever do. Having your teammates manage their own separate systems is absolutely awesome.
Then every button in the game is interactable, and it is very tactile clicking through huds and buttons, firing missiles by demand and asking for heavy artillery.
game is very very customisable, you can start with set number of islands and make your own path. In this sense it feels more like roguelike because with limited resource, and not everything at your disposal you really appreciate your means of fighting and learn new strategies.

the campaign has show itself as a great strategy and speedruning experience.
money makes this game a treasure hunt and a pain in the ass.

sunbox is a sunbox. Do what you will. It has nice instruments to spawn entities from workshop, using funky guns, making maps and whole campaigns.
