First impression This game is trash ......

1 year later : I just bought all the DLC to this game and I can't stop playing

The only Negative takeaway I will say about this game is how they bundle there DLC is absolute Garbage and I hope this doesn't become a trend for games from here on out.

Currently unplayable which is a shame.

During a quest I couldn't get martin off his flipping horse and acknowledge we are already at the freaking clouds temple nor could he follow me up a hill without babying him to the least steepest incline the route had to offer.

Until they actually fix basic bugs like these that I mentioned I cannot recommend this game

The developer did a fantastic job with this game ,but I forgot how much I just hate the premise of this game.

Find keys in a foggy void of a world combined with killing enemies seems to be pointless cause they'll respawn in 3 seconds or less.

Tldr Easter egg hunt with guns that only stun not kill

The more you play the more it grows on you.

At the bat the games native display settings are too dark and not fluid controls. As long as you look at YouTube guides to tweak it to where you can see and controls like butter it's good

What's great about this game is it introduces different gameplay mechanics

Few examples are for insurances are

certain mechanics don't know how to do the upgrade you want so you would have to go to a different guy who would know how to mount a scope for your shot gun... Or this guy will buy your sausages for a better price then the last guy you offered it too.

Fast travel almost doesn't exist and combat can be frustrating and rewarding all at the same time. Just turn your flash light off at night if you wanna be sneaky and always go for head shots

Lastly the best part about this game is it doesn't make you feel obligated to be a good guy.. like example you would help this guy who drop his decked out gun in the river you would obviously think ( if I return this gun I'll get a great reward for it) WRONG! He won't give you anything
This guy makes you not feel guilty being a bad guy and I love it tbh

Over all not bad

It's really not that bad of a game. Story is pretty good almost like a moviez the gameplay kinda sucks but you know whatever I played worse.

The grapple shot is rad and killing aliens is still fun

This game is great for anyone who is getting into half-life for the first time

At first I thought this game would be one of those games that I'd buy once and never touch again, but I keep finding myself playing it off my steam deck pretty regularly. Definitely not a perfect game , but definitely a great time killer of senseless block killing violence
