Makes late game fun, great expansion if you like playing after the victory condition has been met.

Civ VI is amazing on release and it continues on almost everything the Complete Civilization V Edition did well, so if you're a fan of Civilization V with DLC, you'll love Civilization VI as it is right now. Of course, there are things to change, but given time this game will become one of the best in the Civilization series.

Supposedly there's a new expansion coming out, will update.

NOV 23 UPDATE:

So, Rise and Fall was release, adding new game mechanics which helped flesh the game out a bit more throughout an entire session, but the AI still feels bad. Gathering Storm is getting released in Feburary and it looks very promising. I'd recommend getting the gold edition to lead up to that new expansion next year.

SUPRISINGLY short, but packed with so much emotion. I felt connected to Delilah, I really did and I FELT Henry's suffering. The setting was an interesting pick, and it was executed well with an artstyle/design that I was definitely a fan of. Picking this up straight off of release was great, being someone who hasn't followed the development of the game, but I was felt wanting more. I finished the playthrough in about 4 hours, one sitting. This included taking time to wander around and research the game itself. DIALOGUE is OFF THIS WORLD, SO GOOD. Plot...was heavily interesting until the "big reveal", not very satisfying. And the ending, was heartbreaking. All downhill, not much payoff from the climax. Worth buying when on sale.

A typical 4X game, with a unique twist on gameplay (combat and expansion). If you're comparing this to Civ, there are Barbarians that you can tame, your city can be bigger than 1 hex, and you have MASSIVE control over mostly everything in this world (army units, citizen management, etc.) While that may be a good thing, it takes a bit to warm up to the mechanics, as well as looking at information on the wiki to find out strategies and definitions. It's not Civilization V, but it is a game that will feel familiar while keeping its own identity.

Very reminiscent of Uncharted, lots to do, interesting story, replayability is a bit low, but it's definitely a game you'd want to revisit.

A Diablo-esque game with all the elements that you look for when playing hack and slash looting games. Awesome loot, big monsters, and a fairly diverse set of characters. WOULD BUY.

Early Access Review
When many survival games now are all about zombies, this game sticks out. You're not against monsters or anything of the sort, you're fighting against nature as well as your self. If you like survival games, this is one to look out for.
