It is both surprising and disappointing to see this game see such negative reviews. The only real criticism is that there isn't much range in the level objectives, but that is fairly counteracted with the (what I think is) randomly generated level layouts. And the targeting mechanic for ranges characters is a pain in the ass. When using right click to attack, if you aren't directly on an enemy (Or they move) you'll instead walk to that location. This can be SUPER annoying when playing ranged characters because you just walk right into a swarm.

The game is fun, especially with friends. It has a nice learning curve, the upgrade progression is fun, the temporary health mechanic is interesting, the characters are unique, the artworks is super impressive, and the overall gameplay is enjoyable. The game is good, regardless of if you're doing the same sequence of objectives over and over. Playing the different characters and trying out their ability upgrades gives it enough uniqueness. If you don't want to pay full price, you can get it up to 75% off in a sale (It was 75% off on the summer sale we just had). And for that price, this is an absolute steal.

Good game, would recommend with friends.
