Awesome piece you wrote about Pathologic , Max, it was a real treat to read!; in a game with so much flesh and blood, and bones, and razor-sharp talons, and butchered meat packed up in gigantic sacks and left to rot in the sun, hanging on rails on the way from the Abattoir to the Train Station, you managed to keep it cerebral and talk about "meta-awareness" and dramatic staging and the whole thing being just an imaginary conversation in which the devs and the player sit casually (and archetypally, ofc) one in front of the other and talk about life and stuff and real things as if the game were nothing more than an elaborate excuse to bring them together.

Definitely the best bit I've read about Pathologic 's meta perspective, you should try and get it more exposure.

Ha ha, I remember leaving those, such a cool feature, unfortunately the messages you can leave are predefined, you cannot write to your liking, that would have been awesome!, and you can unlock more stuff to write playing that Sigils of Elohim little game, if you wanna make them more personal, but that's kinda it. Still, it adds a lot to the atmosphere, that feeling of being a part of a hive mind and your friends beeing there with you! How are you liking the game, by the way? I see you already got your first star...

Hey, Max, did you know about that:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1535515364/pathologic

How the hell did I miss that more than a year ago? Good thing you can still back it on their website: http://pathologic-game.com/tiers.php#list

Now to decide for one of the higher tiers...

I agree completely: "The Authorities" sounded way better than "The Powers That Be" and created a meaningful contrast between the cold, bureaucratic world of the Capital and the spiritual, mystical space of the steppe settlement the game is set in. "The Powers That Be" sounds pretty mystical itself and kinda obscures the duality, which I felt was very important -- and well-stressed -- in the original version. Also, they changed the "Apiary" with "Termitary", maybe that'll reveal some new meaning further along...

So, how do you like the Pathologic remaster, Max? Does the story make more sense now?

Hey, Max, remember our little conversation about madness mechanics in games? It's become a thing in game journalism recently, ha ha! Jokes aside, Austin Walker wrote an excellent article on sanity systems, here: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/02/a-burnt-torch-darkest-dungeon-mental-health-and-lo.html .
He mainly talks about Darkest Dungeon -- which is looking awesome, by the way -- but also about Eternal Darknes and Call of Cthulhu tabletop.
