Adventures of Shuggy isn't a bad game but it's definitely harder to recommend now than it would've been at release. It's cute and charming but the level design and platforming aren't exactly remarkable nowadays. For a $5 USD asking price, you could do a whole lot worse though. The game also has some technical issues for me. Has crashed twice while alt tabbing and will often crash on start-up multiple times before working. YMMV.

Mixed review from me, leaning towards positive if you want something very casual that you can play in short sessions.

I have a vague memory of playing Gemcraft back in like 2011 or at least a tower defense game that was very similar. I always really liked the strategy/tower defense games available on Armor Games and Newgrounds so playing GemCraft was a bit of a nostalgia trip either way.

Definitely see myself putting more time into this when my backlog isn't so flooded with higher quality games. There's a ton of content, the difficulty level is surprisingly challenging and it's got more achievements than you could ever hope to accomplish.

Great stealth game. As someone who's always found the genre a little bit too tedious and frustrating, IO Interactive has succeeded in making a game that is challenging yet accessible at the same time. "Opportunities" which are essentially paths you can take to assist in assassinating your target are more than welcome.

Stealth purists may consider it hand holding, but for someone who wants to like stealth games but very rarely has, the fact that some of the guesswork is taken out makes the game way more enjoyable. Less save scumming = more fun. You can always turn it off and play the game without if you prefer. The countless challenges, contracts, difficulty levels and opportunities also add a ton of replay value for people who want to eliminate their targets in different ways and with varied restrictions.

I took a while to get around to playing Hitman because I got it in a Humble Bundle and figured it wouldn't really be my thing, but seeing that Hitman 2 was in the latest Humble Choice I decided I'd check the game out to see if I would consider buying Hitman 2 and well, it's convinced me. Very enjoyable, accessible but still requires awareness and good execution (no pun intended). Some of the levels are definitely a bit more interesting than others but overall, this is a really good game and worth a playthrough if you can pick it up for say, $20.

I'm usually a sucker for abstract point&click adventures/walking sims but this game is just a mess. You spend the entire game clicking on different doors. That's it. You visit a couple new environments for all of 10 seconds and then straight back to clicking more doors. It's uninteresting, dull, drab, just about every negative adjective you can think of. Not good.

Cool retro aesthetic but the gameplay is incredibly boring and clunky. One of the least good racers you could play on Steam.

Ignore my playtime; I beat Arkham City on console back in 2011. Fantastic game, and somewhere between the first and third best Batman game depending on your taste. The Arkham Trilogy (not gonna include Origins) is a trilogy I will replay once I clear out my backlog a bit more. I only ever finished the first two but I'm keen to play Knight after I refresh my memory with Asylum and City. They're easy recommendations if you like Batman even on a base level. Also if you like action adventure games at all.

Just play 'em already.

Hyperspace Invaders II: DX is similar to Pac-Man Championship Edition DX or Tetris 99 in that it takes the formula of a well known classic/retro game and pushes it to its logical extreme. This game is a lot of fun and very challenging. I'm not usually the biggest fan of bullet hells but the music, sound effects, visuals and tight controls make this stand out from other titles in the genre.

I did eventually hit a wall in the last few levels that would probably require me play a lot more of Hyperspace Invaders II, which I can honestly see myself doing. Even if I don't, I got a solid 2 hours of enjoyment out of this game and think it's well worth the $5 USD if you don't want to wait for a sale. Easy recommendation if you're into score attack/bullet hell games and still worth checking out even if you're not.

Golf With Your Friends is a pretty decent mini golf game. It's got a lot of content for the price, packed full of elaborate and chalenging levels. I personally think Golf It! is a better alternative: I think the controls and levels are far more consistent and enjoyable. Golf With Your Friends does benefit from having more content but the difficulty level and cohesiveness of these maps is wildly inconsistent and borderline abrasive. I don't remember being anywhere near as frustrated playing Golf It! comparitively.

Golf With Your Friends also has a lot of minor graphical bugs and one really major fault that really puts me off the game: the amount of time it takes to reset the ball. There's an option you can turn on in the settings to manually reset the ball with "R" but this locks achievements. Half of the time playing is spent watching your ball at a standstill. Waiting. For. Your. Turn. It's extremely tedious and only working as intended sometimes.

Overall, I'd give the game a 6/10. The amount of content for the price is commendable but its inconsistent quality and lack of polish really leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully a lot of improvements to come before the final release.

I've never experienced motion sickness in a game until playing Velocity Ultra. The controls/movement are incredibly janky and just about unplayable with controller. Keyboard is only marginally better. Literally can't stand playing this. It's also very samey and repetitive. Hard pass.

Lovely/cutesy aesthetic but unfortunately Offspring Fling gets boring pretty quickly.
