I am leaning towards a positive recommendation as this is a fun game and a fun concept for a night or two, BUT:
- Controls feel "laggy". No option to change sound levels (has to be done in sound mixer)
- You occasionally load into levels with no gear
- Terrible balance with economy (set reward money, regardless of how much over the "quota" you go)
- The squid monster will sometimes throw you out the map or clip you into a wall, effectively killing you

The jank is part of the fun in a way, though do expect to lose some games due to it.

Simple, yet challenging platformer. Well worth the money.

Good, fun exploration game. No tutorial or handholding can be brutal at times, but you can figure the game out yourself with some practice.

Japanese underground spot-the-difference, no jumpscares if you're wondering.
For the price of a coffee, 10/10

As it currently stands, I cannot recommend this game. Microsoft are more concerned with pushing out new content rather than fixing their existing game, at the present moment the game crashes about 20 minutes in.

This has been an extremely disappointing CoD, and at this stage, is worth avoiding for these reasons:
The good:
+ Gunplay feels good, guns are satisfying to use

The bad:
- Overall bad performance, even on updated GPU drivers
- Level design is AWFUL. Way too much vertical action, frequent spawns behind
- Gun levelling. By default, you only get a small selection of guns, and you have to level to unlock the rest. This requires a LOT of grinding


4/10, not worth the money right now

Do I recommend Valheim? I do, but not at it's current stage of development. People have covered what's good, so I'll cover what I find to be the most annoying parts:
- Janky combat. You can only swing on a lateral level, which makes fighting on slopes extremely infuriating.
- The gameplay loop. After a while, the gameplay loop is **very repetitive** - you grind ores for the next tier of items, then do the boss, then grind for the next tier of items etc etc - it gets very stale very fast. You can't teleport ores, so you'll have to walk back to base.
- Weight - the weight system means you can't carry anything beyond a certain weight - but this means you need to heavily micromanage your inventory, especially on mining trips. Otherwise, you'll need to build a cart and a road to ore deposits, which ends up being quite time consuming

In conclusion, get the game if it interests you and you have friends to play with, but wait till it the balancing issues have been dealt with.

Don't bother with this game unless you have a flightstick / joystick / controller. Keyboard controls are absolute torture to play with.

Also, there is 91+ GB download when you boot the game, which will invalidate your chance to refund the game before you have even booted it.
