Early Access Review
I was unsure about buying this game because I didn't know how much it would really add on to the experience of Pandemic/II. However, I have always really enjoyed Pandemic II, so I decided to go for it, because it is my kind of game.

Plague Inc. definitely takes the experience to where it deserves to go; the trait trees are a lot more in-depth, and I like the tweaks they've made (the biggest issue isn't necessarily getting the whole world infected, as least as a bacteria, but competing with the cure. Playing as a virus changes this up due to the random mutations, however!) to how those games play out. Severity feels a little finicky but is enjoyable, and it is fantastic how you can still infect a country after its air/sea ports are closed, with the livestock transmission mutations.

As for the price tag... I'm still uncertain about it. This game is still early on in development (although there is a lot to it as of now), and the gameplay can be reptitive to a lot of people. It's a must-buy at $5, but at $15, I have to really think about it. IF you REALLY love the gameplay, though (e.g. you're a huge fan of Pandemic II and still enjoy starting a few games up even years after you started playing it), I'd say go for it. Otherwise, wait for a sale, and then DEFINITELY go for it. I look forward to seeing what the devs add, and also playing through the challenges while I wait.
