Never take this game even on sale if you don't have anyone else to play together. This game has ZERO difficulty scaling, so unless you won Starcraft 2 tournaments alone vs 10 koreans, you will be gang banged by everything and everyone. 40 enemies who are faster than you, with arrows, magic, poison and god knows what else raining down while you die in 2-3 swipes is a normal state of affairs here. Maybe I am inexperienced, as I only finished the first game a couple of times, but I find this sequel to be next to unplayable without one or more players. Or being a supernatural cyber-sport demigod who can correctly press up to five five buttons per second to cast 50 spell at the same time, while a giant walls you off so you can't move and rushes towards you, poison spit flies towards you, flame arrows fly towards you, also you're wet, so sorry no haste spell, also you're poisoned so heal yourself, also you're on a narrow path so don't get blown off, also ur mom gey, also here's an object that is on the edge of the map that you can inspect and by inspect I obviously mean accidentaly click on it in the heat of the battle and stand still reading text expecting now certain doom, also after you die here's a cutscene that you have seen a billion million times now, also you're wet cast fire on yourself and lose 80hp.
If there is purgatory than it is playing Magicka 2 alone.
