Nevertheless, still my GOTY. There's no better game that sums up the word "journey" in a nutshell. Once you get into the rhythm of Elden Ring, everything just clicks. And when it does, you'll find it very hard to stop coming back for more.

Runs out of content very fast. There's no incentive to get more followers and gain more resources, and you rapidly 100% the essential unlocks. The boss fights aren't terribly interesting, the controls are clunky, and several glitches can sour your experience very quickly (hitreg is bad, AI sometimes freezes, somehow one of my farms stopped working and FISHING IS BROKEN WITHOUT THE RITUAL).

I did enjoy it at first, but looking back on it, CotL is junk food, not fine dining.
