The first game of 2017 I was really looking forward to and it did not disappoint. I was skeptical at first about the change to first person but it really does add a level of immersion to the game. I always favored Resident Evil games when I was younger because of the horror aspects and the new view brought the horror back, where as the last few entries had lost that feeling. The setting is wonderful, brought back lots of memories of Spencer Mansion and the puzzles found within. I did find that the puzzles were a little on the easy side though. The bosses were good, if not also a little easy. The Baker Family were great antagonists, that because of the well written (by Resident Evil standards) narrative, I actually felt for at a particular point in the game. It ties in nicely to the overall Resident Evil Universe and even leaves some questions for future free and paid DLC to answer. Performance wise everything ran great for me, on a great setup though. I can't speak for lower systems (though I have heard that it's well balanced for all). I'm looking forward to my second, more difficult playthrough.

Good purchase all around, and I hope the next continues this trend and builds on what they have started here.

Gorgeous, GIGANTIC world. Amazing story and lore. Lovable characters that pull you in to the game. DLC that actually added to the game and was worth every penny. This game in my opinion is top 5 of all-time. Period. I recommend every gamer play this game at some point.

"I can't tell whether it's killing me or making me stronger." This is appropriate. But in all seriousness, I love the Souls franchise, and this is another fantastic entry. This is a game worth every penny and I confidently say that having only finished a small portion of the game so far. Loving it.

Update after Episode 3: I have decided to change my review to Recommended at this point as I cant lie, now that the nagging issues seem to have been fixed I am having a blast with this game. The level designs are beautiful and there are lots of options for completing said levels. Hopefully all the episode releases moving forward dont mess anything up cause I'm actually looking forward to them at this point.

Original Review: First off I'd like to say that I am a fan of the series and was really excited for this game. I don't like how they took the episodic approach here. Apparently there was a lot of behind the scenes drama on this game and that ultimately shaped its release strategy but personally, I feel the episodic thing should be left to Telltale and more story centered games. But thats just my own preference. Anyway, ignoring the frequent server drops and other little issues, I actually quite enjoyed Episode 1: Paris. It felt like a great open, pick how you want to kill level. Now cue the wait for the second episode.... When I turned on the game yesterday to get started on the second episode, imagine my surprise to see that the game was broken. Not just Episode 2, but the first as well, which ran fine before. Audio issues and video settings not working, on top of gameplay bugs which dont allow for my preferred style of play, I couldn't understand what had happened. Well today a patch was released that did fix the audio and graphical issues for the most part (but not completely), but did not address gameplay problems. I cannot recommend this game in this state and based on the issues since launch so far, and I'd say it's most likely only going to continue. Steer clear of this one for a while and whatever you do dont pay full price for it... this is at best a sale pick up. Hopefully a developer will once again do right by Agent 47, but this attempt so far has come up short for me...

Great graphics and a great story. Yes, the ending was a little disappointing at first, but the more I think about how well the game had twisted my mind, the more I appreciate it. Yes it was short but I will almost certainly be going back through it again to explore the beautiful environment. Well worth the price of admission.

It may not be the prettiest game this year, or even the most stable. But Fallout 4 delivers 100% on what I wanted most, another amazing experience in the wasteland. The crafting is impressively in-depth, and the settlement building is insanely addictive. I find myself losing track of everything else for hours on end trying to figure out how to layout my towns. A mention to the updated combat systems as well, as I find myself very rarely going to V.A.T.S. this time around. All in all I'd say probably my personal favorite game this year.

9.5/10

Fun game, have a slight issue with the attempt to use original movie audio on the game because it just doesn't sound right a lot of the time (for the original trilogy at least, the Jurassic World part actually has original voice work from some of the cast I think) but it is kinda cool. If you like Lego games (lets face it they're all the exact same really), or Jurassic Park... then I would recommend you pick it up.

Ok so first off... I had to run this game at 720p on low video settings to be able to play... but all video issues and that nonsense aside, this game is amazing! I was very excited for this game to be released and yes there were some undeniably big issues at launch (still not fixed). And I definitely am not defending WB and Rocksteady, but I can't help but still love this game. Its running well on the settings I listed above (no crashing and decent frame rate), and I have just completed the story portion of the game, great story, great finish to the series. I'm at the point where I would normally start to get bored with a game (having to grind to complete), BUT I'm genuinely excited to find every last collectible. Once it is back online and fixed I would definitely recommend anyone add this to their library.

Happy gaming!
