It's actually a pretty solid game despite its flaws. I wish there were less invisible walls and a map would also be handy since a lot of areas look very similar.

Now that I've beaten it, I can write my final thoughts about this expansion.

It is by no means perfect. I explore every nook and cranny when playing Fromsoft games and I absolutely did not enjoy seeing the same enemy types over and over again in the realm of shadow, specially the stone bird thingies because I keep seeing them. Also not fond of the many recycled mobs from the base game. While every area looks amazing art-wise, a few of them felt empty like the Finger Ruins and Abyssal Woods.

Its negatives, however, does not stop it from being a 10/10 expansion because its positives are indeed strong. Messmer is one of Fromsoft's best boss fights. I've had fun fighting even the notorious bosses players complain about like Gaius and Golden Hippo. The new weapons are fun to use. The level design of most areas is top-notch and very fun to explore. There's plenty of content here, with the map being about 3x as big as Limgrave. Also love the questlines and NPCs. For some reason I found it easier to get attached to this cast of NPCs compared to other Fromsoft games I've played.

Well-written cyberpunk noir. Good atmosphere. Gameplay is basic but fun enough.

Just wish there were manual saves for easier access to other endings because I rarely start over just to get other endings.
