I just don't understand the thought pattern behind how they update things.

Recently there's apparently been an update for a new tutorial. This update isn't given to all accounts, not even all new accounts. Today I bought the game for my partner and I, both of us have never even really looked into the game beforehand.

*She got the new tutorial, which was both longer, left her at level 5.
*Meanwhile I got the older, much shorter tutorial, that really didn't teach me anything, and dropped me off at level 2.

I was like "it's fine, i'll just grind out the level difference." Then when we finally managed to meet up, as it took her about thrice as long as me to finish the tutorial, we came to discover that we had entirely different quest NPCs in the world. And while she could point and add friends or start a party, I had no such interface. Accepting her friend requests did nothing, and all i could do was join her party.

This is kinda pointless when we cant quest together effectively, since she's new to VR, and it's frustratingly hard to try and show her things when we don't even see the same things in the world. Going to the discord and seeing if anyone else has such issues, all i saw from a mod was;

"Only some accounts are currently getting the new tutorial it is account based if you get the new one, not character based, they are rolling it out to all accounts gradually each day, and sometime next week all accounts should have access"

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to sit and wait a week to play the game with someone else to just have the same basic beginner experience. I don't understand how all new accounts created aren't given the new tutorial. The fact it seems to be a luck of the draw scenario to be able to play the same experience as others is so convoluted and destroys the social aspect that is /needed/ for not only a multiplayer VR game, but an MMORPG as well.

I just cant in the right mind recommend this right now cause this alone was extremely frustrating and not foretold at all.
