Early Access Review
Great kick off on Early Access. Got a good vibe, gunplay is solid, has the L4D DNA. Definitely worth playing and watching it evolve into the full game.

Follows in the large footsteps of ATOM and delivers. It's the best thing out there after Fallout 1&2, and that says a lot.

Good dialogue, great quest design, choices that matter, and a believable world that's inviting and satisfying to get into.

If you're still reading reviews, you're doing yourself a disservice: grab the game and go play it. You won't regret it.

A well paced narrative game with a lot to teach and reflect upon. Orwell's work remains as relevant as ever, experiencing it in game form is a great way to see it from a different angle, yet still carrying the core message. A relaxing experience in storytelling for sure, you can't go wrong trying out this little gem.

Just... One.. More... Ship...

I don't know why, but I'm terribly addicted to cutting up ships now. I think it's the indenture...

Half Life at its best. Trying for the first time? You'll love it. Old timer? Give it another go. Great effort from the community to bring this to life.

One of the best -- if not the best -- management game I've ever played. Engrossing, well balanced, mind-bending.

Incredible universe, magnific storyline and decisions that really matter to the game's outcome. A challenging and well-balanced strategy game that will scratch the itch of any fan of the genre.

Incredibly immersive universe, wonderful story, solid gameplay. Top 10 best games I've ever played -- and believe me, I've played a fair bit. ;)

Go dive into its world and you won't ever regret the experience.

Yes, it's rought around the edges, a lot to be done still, but it's a solid game way worth its price tag. Engrossing survival, a desolated and hostile world, have been having plenty of fun with the single-player pulling off a 'The Martian' on my own. It's a shame people don't understand Early Access and are pounding the devs because they are reworking the game code in order to prepare it for its future... The game deserves a solid 80% easily. Hope the devs stick to it and take it all the way once the code refactoring is done. ;)

Beyond Earth feels more like a mod than a new game, unfortunately. It brings little in terms of innovation to the series, and introduces severe drawbacks such as terrible (I really mean 'terrible') Diplomacy AI.

The major disappointments, however, are in the victories and defeats: there's no screen/report of who won nor why. If you lose, you have no idea of which conditions were met by whom, you'll have to guess by checking overall progress of other players/AI all the time. And if you win, well, no spoilers -- but 'underwelming' is a fitting word.

All in all, Beyond Earth falls short of its true potential for being inferior to Civ and having next to nothing to offset this shortcoming. =/
