EA nonsense aside, this was not for me or my partner. Based on all of the glowing reviews, I was hoping that the gameplay would outshine the aggressively saccharine, nuclear family-centric nature of the story, but in the short amount of time that both of us were able to stand it, it didn't.

I suck at rhythm games and had a blast with Hi-Fi Rush. The characters and world are a ton of fun, the art and music are great, gameplay is solid, and exploration is heavily rewarded which goes a long way with me. Lots of replayability too if you're into that. For me it's a strong 8/10.

I've played the Guild Wars series since the original GW1 beta, and having tried lots of other MMOs over the years, I haven't found one yet that is more entertaining in terms of actual minute-to-minute gameplay than Guild Wars 2. Presentation and story lack a bit in places, but overall the game is amazing. Buildcraft is complex and interesting, there are lots of content types to play and explore, the cosmetics are wildly varied, the mounts are tons of fun to play with, on and on. Pretty much something for everyone. I can't come close to justifying a subscription for a game these days (or ever, really), and the bang-per-buck here is utterly unbeatable, so Guild Wars is the game for me.

Great art, great gameplay, cheeky quips. What's not to like?

Incredibly excellent and extremely frustrating all at the same time. Tons of fun to play, beautiful artwork, amazing soundtrack, and the writing is so good that I genuinely care about these characters, but the current end-of-game achievement is called 'To Be Continued' for a reason. VERY MUCH looking forward to whatever comes next.

Floored. I learned about DDLC some time ago, and understood that it was edgy in spite of its cutesy facade. That's true, but that's not why it's good. The warnings are totally valid - if you're okay with that, then play this (free) game, even if you hate visual novels. Review score is absolutely deserved.

Nothing but props to Hello Games for their dogged and delightfully unhinged dedication to this once-upon-a-time disaster story. No Man's Sky is so good.
