Love, hate, loss, grief, redemption, purpose... All of this intertwine in this mostly cinematic experience, having breathtaking visuals and music, with occasional puzzles (which are the easiest in the series). Despite some questionable narrative decisions, this game maintains a high level of quality and emotional resonance, reminiscent of the first part. This game is my second favorite in the series, following closely behind the first part and I highly recommend it!

Good sequel. Leaves a lot to be desired on technical field but, like Deliver us the Moon, it has strong narrative and a good pace. Like on first part, I was eager to unfold the story and to find out what's happening. There's more platforming and puzzle solving now. I liked the platforming sections but puzzles not that much and I was spending more time than I would like on them. Music hits the mark again - it really sets the tone and atmosphere right.

It's clear when playing that this game is made by an indie studio and that they lack the resources to make this look and feel better. Still, this game deserves a recommendation. Team gave their best to improve the formula of the first game and they mostly did it. They bought me with the way they tell the story and I will surely play the third game in the series if one is ever made.

Culmination of the Tomb Raider series. Perfect mix of the shooting, puzzle solving and exploring. Most likeable Lara Croft character. Amazing scenery. Fitting music... If you liked any Tomb Raider game, play this.

Really good puzzle game. Different mechanics from the first part, different strategies to finish the level, still very addictive to play. You can play leisurely by your own pace or take the challenge and finish all objectives in a given time, which I preferred the most. It can be really frustrating if you lose by few seconds, but also very rewarding if you finish in time. Levels are finely tuned, you don't have to brainstorm much to get all objectives.

As for the DLCs - I liked Passenger Flow in which they combined mechanics from the TV1 and TV2. Again, everything is tuned fine like in the base game. On the other hand, Myths and Rails DLC is super hard compared to previous 70 levels. You need to have very precise tactics in order to get the objectives. I didn't like that shift in complexity, but maybe someone will.

All in all, big recommendation for the game.

This game will probably get the most attention of the three because of the setting (marine squad, underground temple, monsters). If you liked the characters and choices from the previous parts, you'll definitely like the same in this game, probably even more, because the characters' behavior is more believable. Quality of story is at the usual level. Good addition is difficulty levels - you can now choose your preferred QTE speed. Also noticeable are performance improvements - in previous games my GTX 1660 Ti struggled with most basic settings with temperatures going high, but now, I was able to set higher settings with temperatures staying low.

This series needs love, warm recommendation for House of Ashes if you like this kind of games.

As someone who played (and very much liked) previous game and play this series with a gamepad, I'm not recommending this game. If this is your first CSD game and you play with the keyboard, then ignore this review.

What I liked:
- More polished base mechanics, some nice additions for preparing in advance, better graphics and animations.
- Bunch of smaller restaurants with predefined menus.

What I didn't like:
- No option to withdraw from a single order if you accidentally click on it while it's preparing/cooking (i don't want to put anything on the food, I clicked on it by accident while rushing somewhere else, let me back out and leave the food to finish cooking)
- CSD restaurant is basically practice mode now. No "story" mode behind it like in the first game. It doesn't have an end so I didn't find it amusing to play. There are a bunch of smaller restaurants with predefined menus and finite number of levels, which I prefer more than CSD story BUT---
- ---this game is not optimized for the gamepad. First game was perfectly balanced and I was able to finish it entirely with gamped, but I just couldn't finish hardest levels with gamepad here (and I can be pretty stubborn on finishing higher difficulty levels). You just can't instantly jump from order #3 to order #9... It's obvious that keyboard users are in advance by far, no matter how well I learn recipes. And if I try and finish one restaurant after a lot of effort to learn everything perfectly, there are 20+ more restaurants where I need to do the same, with another recipes... It's exhausting and not worth it for so much content. Simply, new additions to game mechanics requires balancing the difficulty for gamepad users...
- There's an email system which is entirely pointless in this game and after few emails, I didn't bother to read them at all (it was more fun in previous game where mails were incorporated into CSD "story" mode).
- Leveling gives you a ton of "items" which you can use to decorate your CSD restaurant... Our focus is on preparing food, we don't have time to look at scenery, so I don't know what's the point in having hundreds of "items" to put behind... So, two features (mails and items) which needed a lot of effort and time by devs to put in the game but they are entirely pointless. That time should be spent on something else or at least make reading mails or collecting restaurant items more fun...

Maybe I was wrong having high expectations after fantastic first game, but either way, I didn't have fun playing this game as much as previous.

Classic Frictional game, closer in quality to Penumbra then Amnesia, luckily. Gameplay is practicaly the same like in previous games - empty ambients, creepy sounds, running from monsters, constant chill (but less horror than in previous games). The story is the strongest point here. It is well written. Pacing is good, you'll not feel something is dragged or unnecessary until the very end. Satisfactory ending.

Overall, good experience, must have if you like Frictional games.
