Amazing game - with plenty of game-breaking bugs to share.

TLDR - The game has been abandoned by the developer, and has been left in an unplayable state.

This quickly became one of my all-time favourite games upon picking it up last year. It genuinely can suck you in for hours on end. The economy system is excellent, and can be scaled to your experience. Combat is as good as ever for a Total War game, and the visual are a big step up from previous entries.

That's why it pains me so much to know that the developer, Creative Assembly, have abandoned this title, by their own announcement, and providing no further updates.

Right now, myself and many others can't actually play the game - the game suddenly runs below 10 fps, despite running at over 80 before their last patch. The last patch also broke any existing game save you had, which could easily be 20+ hours.
The game is still littered with visual bugs - units randomly don't get rendered, info screens get suck in place blocking your view, and there's still annoying hang-ups, which leaves you stuck for minutes on end, not able to do anything.

Even after contacting their official customer support, it's clear that they have no interest in fixing a damn thing. They provide only the generic advice of "verify your file integrity" and "uninstall mods". After that, there's "nothing further that they can do". This isn't an isolated or new problem, there's numerous forums posts of people with the same issue, occurring at almost every new patch release in the history of this game.

Unfortunately, this game is another victim of the sad state this is modern gaming.
