Killer feature packed take on a current gaming phenomena.

Season 6 or w/e: LoL. LMAO even. Game barely functions at this point and they have to rely on Bots to fill out lobbies most of the time.

Whatever season July: Still CoD wanna be garbage with an identity crisis peddling battlepasses.
Deserves to get it's ass kicked by a 3 man team that understands the series better than a giant AAA developer and like 3 studios.
It's been two years. This IS the game so, stop asking "Is it good yet?".

Season 4: ♥♥♥♥ no.

Update Season 3: Still a No.

I'll say some things people might not like here.

1: I actually like the Specialist system. It just mixes ♥♥♥♥ up and encourages unique play styles.
2: I like the weather systems and changing conditions.
3: I Like the Portal and the idea around it. Allowing anyone to be able to learn to mod a server, create an experience and just host it for yourself, with friends or anyone in the world is pretty low barrier of entry.
4: I hate custom Portal servers. 1000% dmg with LMG bullet hoses is not Hardcore, it's brain dead, much like half the community (that actually plays) I suppose.
5: It's not a bad game. It's a poorly executed game.

Those things said as "praise" out of the way.
Stay the ♥♥♥♥ away from it.
They'll take one step in the correct direction and then in the same moment trip on their own feet.
They can't get this right and I do not understand why. If this was some OTHER teams take on BF, I could totally understand. But it's not. So it just leaves me utterly confused as to how they take good ideas, and ♥♥♥♥ them up this badly.
They can't even release a patch without entirely breaking the game for the players they have left.

The only thing I can think of is that it FEELS like it had plans to be a Warzone clone, then they backpedaled about 2/3s the way through and are now retrofitting BF proper back in.

Are you a psychopath that obsesses over tiny details and will endlessly restart something you know you can do better?

Do you have a goblin in your brain that likes to see number go up or down?

Can you near endlessly repeat Rocket Races, Conk runs, Surf maps, Bhop challenges and Jump Academy levels to the point of it being a possible health risk?

Do you find yourself getting "stupid hand" from doing something so much that your brain just smooths completely over and basic motor functions stop making sense to it?

Perhaps you've been afflicted by the horrid need to stare into bright flashing lights and have a nearly sick nostalgia for arcades?

If you've answered "yes" to one or more of these questions,
BOY DO I HAVE A PROBLEM FOR YOU!

I just want to leave this as a yes and gush about the animation.
Like what in the actual ♥♥♥♥ this has no right to be this well animated and whoever is responsible did not get paid enough.
Nor did the Character designer for that matter.

Games good. Can set things on fire with pee while kicking turds back at cartoon nightmares in slow motion and firing dildos at Qanons

So good I bought it twice.
100+ hours on Xbox and now doing runs with friends on Steam and modding for the memes.

I recommend it as a game, not as a port.
This port is actually trash full of hang ups, crashes, poor frames rates, frame skips and a fun feature where it doesn't actually close when you close it.

Ignore my play time. I completed it on Gamepass and then double downed buying it here.
It's straight up glorious and honestly $25 feels like I'm stealing it. If you told me this was a $60 Ace Combat I would believe you.
Every brain tingle you had growing up playing Air/Ace Combat is here. The devs REALLY understood what made those games amazing and somehow managed to crank the spectacle up to 11.
They've really made each and every level memorable and fun in ways little me would dream about. Scenarios from absolute fur-balls of missile trails in the sky with insane numbers of targets to flying inside a storm, assaulting rail gun mounted battle ships lighting up the sky in trails all the way up to Raiden level boss fights that G lock you into death spirals dodging everything they can throw at you while looking for a lock.
The VA is great and I really came to like each character through comms chatter.
Sound design is off the charts and so satifyingly boomy and ripping, hearing your jet break sound barrier with rails and tracers flying by is auditory bliss.

They absolutely knocked this out of the park and into the parking lot.

For the first play through I highly recommend Hardcore as it's a fine balance of difficulty and length without unlocks.

Speaking of unlocks, it offers some of the meatiest rewards and unlocks I've seen in a while in a single player game. All of which really change the way you play and can really allow you to meme it up with speed runs in really fun ways.

Mercs mode is perfectly addictive and has it's own sort of roguish elements in the form of power ups that you unlock as you do better and better with each level.

By far this is the best RE since 4 and despite the comparisons, it's certainly its own thing with entirely it's own personality.

While the game was fantastic over the time I played it and showed a lot of promise all throughout EA, becoming a bit of a darling for me.... This ain't it chief.

It's still the same game it was before release.
Like, same exact bugs I personally reported on.. and cause was confirmed known over a year ago.

It's still lacking in many departments and is not yet out of EA. And I get it, it's a LOT of work making something not only like this, but a game in general.
If there was a "Mixed" option I'd give it that based on the fact that what's there was good enough for over 100 hours in Early access but the game just simply isn't finished or near a 1.0 in how it runs, the lack of animations, the presentation, missing street skating staples like tech and so on.

That coupled with paid DLC just makes it feel as tho it was pushed out to gain further support through them.

Give it time in the oven and still consider it EA for sure.

I have never played something with so much style and grace while being nothing short of pure violence in motion.
I say this, genuinely, that despite Doom Eternal coming out this year, this is some of the most satisfying skill based combat I've played in an FPS in maybe ever.
The OST is brilliant. The Gameplay loop is brilliant. The level design is top tier. Pacing is God like.
It's just so solid already that if the first act was all there was to it, I'd still be happy.

Took my game of the year crown from Doom Eternal and I'm a Boomer shooter simp.
