Today was a really hard day for me.

I woke up late to a work meeting that had one of the bigwigs from a corporate lecturing curriculum me and the rest of the senior staff have been working on, then our second meeting of the day (my main highlights) was cancelled for no apparent reason. Work dragged on and I was hardly able to concentrate on my job, and instead dredged through the day glaring at my little black mirror.

My friend posted on IG about how nobody would ever beat his highscore in Devil Daggers, to the chagrin of my other friends who berated his rakish audacity. I decided to give it a download and try it out later in the day. After work, I went over to the grocery store and spent about an hour plucking my needs for the next two weeks, and after running the entire carts worth of items through the self-checkout, I found out I was short $33. Turns out my portfolio site charged me for my yearly domain registration today, despite checking it last week and confirming it'd refresh in March... Damn, double whammy. I asked the cashier to take a few items off, but the system was being buggy and they said they had to run me through again. The problem was, after the purchase was voided, my account was still barren; It'd be another 24 hours for the return to go through. I was able to get back home on fumes of gas, irritated and hungry. I was so irritated I just wanted to buy a pizza when left over coupons and giftcards (very much against my diet) and skip my workout all together.

Then I started playing Devil Daggers and beat my friends scores (all of 'em) by 10 seconds. My blood hasn't pumped like that since I was playing Halo 3 as a semi-pro running the MLG gauntlet. I was so amped up I went out to my home gym and blew through my workout and then some, and wrapped it up with a cold shower. Devil Daggers is f**king sick and very based, you should play it.
