This is the most awesome, thought provoking game that I've had the pleasure of playing in over a decade.

I really can't tell you why I think this without major plot spoilers.

But suffice to say, this game has a storyline, a real plot. It has you peering around corners hoping the monsters don't get you. They will of course, and the sound effects are soul chilling.

Hardware issues (YMMV)
I played this on a 2013 MacBook Air with the i7 and 8Gb Ram, and found that everything was smooth and sharp. A couple of (rare) interactions *really* needed a mouse and didn't perform with a trackpad - but I don't expect gamedevs making a game to take into account niche laptop users like myself. One or two underwater scenes were difficult to navigate, but I'm pretty sure those were intentional. (Rough seas)

Best played at between 2am and 4am with headphones.

Frictional could easily double the purchase price and I would still think I had value for money.
