After beating this game, its absolutely worth the price. The game has 4 different endings depends on your actions. The loud gameplay QoL changes where you don't door camp anymore. The no masochist difficulty was a bummer, but I think it's better off without that because I don't think 1 save file for the entire level is worth it.
People might play it like Hotline Miami and rush everything out like I did with first Intravenous, but even in loud you gotta take it a bit slow, use save files as if it was the next floor in Hotline Miami. The turning isn't instant like in Hotline Miami and that may take some time to get used to.
The story of first game isn't so important, and infact, I think it's even more worth it to NOT play the first game.
The weapon modification is insanely awesome and that's what I've been looking for the entire time. I also like how some modifications WILL add debuffs instead of just straight up upgrading it. Leaving you with a choice.
The replacement of scroll wheel to get through the options is hard to get used to after the first game. 8 hours in and I still can't get used to it.

Overall? Absolutely worth the money, amazing sequel too. The remixed IV1 songs is also a nice touch which I really like, if you liked the first game, you'll love this one. And honestly? I'm glad the story isnt as predictable as the first game's.
