Early Access Review
I would have to rate this game a solid 8/10.

There are so many things to love about this game. Between the tower defense style horde night to the Minecraft style building, there isn't much to dislike. With that being said, the few misses that are there hit hard for me.

Pros:
-Steady need to improve or become overwhelmed
-Verity of weapons and tools to complete tasks
-Perk system
-Modding community

Now I know that I'll have more cons than pros but it's because I want to point out what I think is wrong. This is in no way a suggestion that you shouldn't try this game.

Cons:
-EVERYTHING looks dirty and dingy. I get that they want to give the feeling that the world has ended but there should be more options to design better looking bases.
-Once you've progressed far enough, the daily roaming hordes are more annoying than challenging. They need to find a way for the roaming zombies more intense or more challenging to deal with. End game if just loot, repair, craft ammo.
-There is no 3rd person view except when you're in a vehicle
-Most of the cool decoration blocks are hidden behind the creative menu. There are mods out there let access them but they really should add a way to get these in vanilla. It would add more options when building a base.

Overall I LOVE this game enjoy it on PC as well as console. I really would suggest picking it with a few friends and become Lords of the Apocalypse.

I play Ark on both PC and Console. I have well over 1,500 hours between the 2 systems. I play on rented servers, not official servers.

This game has so many high points and low points. I love the end game content. After you beat the bosses and build huge bases, there is still more to do. You can dig deep and find all of the hidden explorer notes, breed dinos to your hearts content, or try to tame a titanto just to say to did. Overall, this is a really good game.

With that being said, if you EVER expect that Wildcard will release something on time, you're going to be very disappointed. I've never played a game that I have loved and hated so much at the same time. There are glitchy bugs that will put you tames under the map. There will be times when you long in and it will put you under the map and then the anti-mesh system will kill you because it thinks you're cheating.

Love or hate this game, it'll bring you back for more.
