A very fun tactical shooter that encourages savescumming in the form of a rewind button. Missions are pretty light if you just want to progress the story, but contain bonus objectives for the completionists out there.

I want to love this game. I really do. Rhythm games are my bread and butter - I cut my teeth on Audiosurf, and I'll play Rock Band for days at a time. The concept of Super Hexagon is a great one: spin around the center and dodge incoming shapes while rocking out to some slick electronica. If you fall out, jump right back in again with a hit of the space bar.

But I just can't get over the visuals of it. The endless spinning and palpitations of the center hexagon and the whole screen in general give me a feeling like the worst drunken spins I've ever had (windowed mode does help a bit, though). It's impossible to get a good feeling of flow when I'm worried about falling out of my chair. On top of that, there really needs to be more than one track per level...it gets old after 20 minutes of dying over and over again.
