Game was going well. Escalation of Freedom killed all fun I was having with nerfs. Loved the game sooo many hours in it, but I am tired of QoL going down.

I haven't really played this past the quarantine zone but I thought I would give my advice.

Specs:
RTX 4080 16gb
Ryzen 9 7900x
4 TB NVM 4.0 DRIVE
32 GB DDR5
850w PSU.

Shaders took 4-5 minutes to install. I did it 30 mins before I had to work for the day and loaded into the game for 25 of those minutes. Why is shader installing taking so long you might ask? Direct Storage & NVME Gen 4 vs SSD speeds are great. The port looks like it was a STRAIGHT port, with little thought for optimization. The generic "SSD" requirement isn't quit as diverse as it should be. Game still has its read and write speeds set to PS5 levels which is what a GEN 4 Drive is.

Next: Why does the game take so much VRAM? Answer: The PS5 has 16 GB of GDDR ram inside of it for the whole system. 13-13.5gb of that is set aside for gaming. Simply put as a STRAIGHT PORT rather than optimized, the VRAM of your GPU will need to be 14+ GB to load anything remotely resembling the PS5 content. On ultra at 4k the game takes 14GB of VRAM. Almost exactly matches the amount the original game on PS5 would have used.

Now on to the power of a graphics card. While the PS5 isn't as powerful as say a 2080S theoretically, the game was built and fully optimized to use the power of the graphics that is in PS5, coupled with 13-14gb of VRAM, and a NVME 4.0 drive. My son is able to run the game fine with a 2080S at 1080p at 4k confirming this. He is running at HIGH which for a console port would eat about 6GB of VRAM. (notice other games offer texture size monitors).

Now on to my "review". The game is a straight port. Windowed mode only is a big no no. Edited INF/INI files to take away border-less window mode. This both stopped screen tearing and frame drops. I am running at 4k60 locked now with no issues in full ULTRA settings preset. The game looks beautiful and beyond the last version I played for PS4, it's great. I am playing with an Elite 2 Controller and haven't had the issues others had with KB/M. I haven't had any crashes, and this is with me simply putting the game through it's paces, TRYING to make it crash while playing and modifying options.

Do I recommend this game? Yes. The game itself is amazing. The straight port with no optimizations makes it a chore to run on most non-current PCs (meaning with hardware from the end of last year or this year that was new) . However going in with the specs sheet, I knew what I was getting into. With a little tinkering the game runs near perfectly. That being said, I am going to Finish RE4 before I dive in since I've played TLOU two times before. Afterwords however, I will play this until Jedi comes out.

If you have new hardware you shouldn't have too many issues. If you have older hardware, and install on a normal ssd or hdd... you're going to have issues. The game was specifically designed for high read and write speeds on the PS5. Being that it's a straight up port -- you must have similar VRAM/Storage to the PS5 to meet those standards. If not playing it on high at 1080p isn't a bad option.

I love the Dragonball Series. While nothing much has changed in this game compared to the last title; It's nice to have a redesigned mentor system. The larger hub city is also very nice. They have made tweaks and changes here and there. I really wish they would have waited for Super to end it's current run so they could have added more content. The same quest style exists from Dragon Ball Xenoverse, with new "Raid Rifts". The game is a solid improvement over the last; I do like it a whole lot, however if you are wondering if you should shell out at full price. You just need to ask yourself how much you like Dragonball. Personally if they make Xenoverse 3 it should be an all new story about the multiverse with Dragon Ball Super included. With all of the games made -- one would think they would add whole battles and episodes re-created in the in game engine -- but they haven't. It would be nice to have a cohesive, non fill in the blanks, that takes everything and puts it in in a neat package. Never the less; Still a good game.

An amazing game that rival's Tale Tell's best. I waited to buy this game till summer sale, and it would have been well worth the initial asking fee. Follow the lives of Max and those around her as she wakes up with the extraoridnary power to rewind time. Choose your own fate with it's own set of consequences Butterfly Effect style. This game is a beautiful game, and immersive one too; You won't want to put that controller / keyboard down once the ride has begun. If you are on the fence about this game, don't be. It is well worth your money.

A great follow up to Dead Rising 2 and Off The Record. Plays like a dream at 4k on a 980 Ti with FR locked; Can't wait to replay with a 1080 when I can finally get one. Weapong customization is the best part about this game. In previous games it took you a while to power up, however in this game becoming a zombie killing monster is quite fun and easy. With the Teasers for Dead Rising 4, you should definately pick this one up if you were on the fence.

Excellent port; GTX 980 plays like a dream in 4k. Worth the wait vs consoles. One of my favorite Final Fantasy games. Must have for collectors and new comers alike! Everything has been redone from the ground up. The water looks like current gen water, and the character models are extremely well done.

Square included 4098x4098 textures so gaming in 4k will truly give you an edge over the console versions. There are new added abilities (Sphere Drops etc) that allow for you to progress the Sphere Grid easier...

Blitzball is always a toss up though... you must play and lose a lot to level your characters to hope to win.

If you've been waiting for a reason to replay this game. Now is your chance! Should be able to run in 4k on a 970 or equiv. Buy the game!

Best and most in depth Dragon Ball game that I have ever played! Too bad the servers are always down and you can't ever really play online. Still totally worth the dosh.
