I was expecting there to be massive queues and server issues on launch and I was not disappointed. The server I selected seemed to be the worst hit and so I restarted on a new server. They restarted a load of servers and the login servers were overloaded for a while but I eventually managed to get on.

Once you're on a server the performance and stability are excellent with no desync, bugs or issues. Server queues are still a bit slow 40 hours after launch and they need to do something to improve it, sooner rather than later. Depending on time of day, it can take anywhere from 2 to 40 minutes to get in.

The game itself is excellent with a diverse set of options for builds, plenty of detailed crafting with no useless items, enough storage that you're not constantly having to decide what to drop. The quests are fairly standard MMO fare with your fair share of kill X creatures, fetch and delivery quests. The setting is interesting but the main questline is fairly light on story.

Creature and resource spawn is fast enough you're not waiting around too long, however there is a fair bit of competition (and sometimes frustration) around starting areas with the high player load.

The added layer of the three main factions and PVP seem interesting. I have not become too involved in this as yet, other than to take and complete the faction missions for faction reputation and rewards. Our initial starting city was taken by a rival faction which raised all the taxes to the max. This prompted us to stop supporting the town and move to a faction controlled city.

I've been playing as much as possible for two straight days (took these off work) and I am looking forward to playing whenever possible in the coming weeks. There seems to be plenty of content for me to sink my teeth into and all of it seems fun and exciting.
